This is the second part of my vacation post. 😃
It´s been too many photos, so I didn´t want to spam you guys with pictures in only one post. 😂
Like I said in my last post, we were in the Black Forest in a Wellness Hotel. It was a great time!!
The culinary side of the vacation was also awesome, so I definitely wanted to show you this. But non of the pictures shows really how INSANELY good this food was.
We didn´t want to worry about food and restaurants too much in this vacation, so we booked an all inclusive this time. We always had breakfast, lunch and dinner included. So we just went to the restaurant that was inside of the hotel 3 times a day and got our food.
The breakfast was always a big buffet, and you were able to get everything you want. From bread, cereals, eggs, cheese, lot´s of different sausages, fruits, yoghurt, etc.
During lunchtime, there was a salad bar and also always one hot meal. And some kinds of cake to chose from.
On one day, it was very very rainy, so I sat in the restaurant during lunch time for a few hours, ordered a very good glass or wine (or two 😜) and just sat with my laptop, did crypto stuff and worked. This was so relaxing and at the same time very productive. I loved it. I wish I could work in this kind of environment more often!
At dinner, it was always a 5-course menu. It started with a salad buffet. The second course was always a soup, every day a different one of course. And each one was extremely good!
For the main course, you were able to chose from 4 different meals, one was always vegetarian, one was with fish and two was with meat.
I always chose a meat one, my girlfriend is vegetarian. And I must say, and this is no joke. I didn´t have such a good food in a very long time!! And I think, I never had such good meat ever in my life! It was outstanding! I would really drive there again, just for eating! 😍
Here are the dishes I had:
The fourth course was always a desert. It was always a different one of course. And each of them were also fantastic!! 😍
Of course, I always drank some wine, and sometimes I tried a gin. Looks boring, but it was so good!!
We also brought home alot of stuff to drink and eat. Because everything was just outstanding. I found a wine that looked just like the right wine for me. 😄
And actually it also was tasting very good!!
On our way home we went to an old blacksmith house (the one from the vacation post part 1). There this lady was making liquer and schnaps herself, from every that grew in her garden. She had sooo many types to taste and we tried around 5 or 6 and went home with a bunch of them. 😄
She also made vinegar and salt, so we also took something to try from this. All is very very good!! And this lady was so nice!
Then we went to a very little cheese factory. It was way up on the hill and also looked like going back in time. We bought around 7 types of cheese to take them home with us. I thought it would be very expensive because it is good biological quality. But actually it was very cheap. I was surprised!
Also we got a bread from one of the bakeries, a little bit of sausage and hams, some beer, and made an awesome dinner on the evening when we arrived home. It was great!
So in total to sum it up, the weather on vacation was shit most of the time. But the experience was great! Very relaxing, at the same time productive, so familiar and comfortable. And the food and drinks were just outstanding!!! We definitely need to go back to there and I hope we can do that soon. I am happy that I don´t live there though, otherwise I would be fat and an alcoholic already, hahaha. 😂
