Hello, beautiful people on Hive!
We are so happy to share our fun adventure again in the South of Cebu. Back to chasing waterfall adventure.
A few weeks ago, I shared our fun chasing waterfalls with three turquoise waterfalls here in Cebu. These are the Dao falls in Samboan, Inambakan Falls in Ginatilan Cebu, and Cambais Falls in Alegria. Today we are going to share our Oslob waterfall adventure.
Oslob is located in the Southern part of Cebu. This place is famous for the whale shark watching activity and white sand island adventure at Sumilon Island Beach Resort. Aside from those attractions, a beautiful waterfall is also a must-visit here. This waterfall is called Tumalog Falls.
WHERE IS TUMALOG FALLS?
Tumalog Falls is located at Barangay Luka, Oslob, Cebu. It is known for its vast and tall waterfall which is approximately 100 meters high. It's a great addition to your Southern Cebu bucket list.
HOW MUCH IS THE ENTRANCE FEE?
The entrance fee is 50 pesos per person and the motorcycle ride going to the falls and coming back is only 50 pesos per person. We are not allowed to bring our motorcycles to the falls due to the small parking spaces and steep road.
However, there are some motorcycle drivers that can take you back and forth. If you don't want to pay for the motorcycle ride, you can walk towards the place for about 5-10 minutes.
WELCOME TO TUMALOG FALLS
Traveling from Cebu City to Oslob will take you about 3-4 hours depending on the traffic. It is better to visit the place on weekdays to avoid traffic and crowd.
When we arrived, we paid the entrance fee and rode a motorcycle towards the waterfalls. We reached the main entrance and the staff told us that we are not allowed to bring food to the falls. So before going there, we put our bags and snacks in their food area.
There are some cottages and tables that you can rent just a few meters away from the waterfall. After leaving our snacks and bags, we then went to the place and saw this beautiful sight.
From this area, we can already see the enchanting and vast waterfalls and the water from this area looks surreal with its bluish color.
Getting closer to the falls. What an amazing view! I never thought this could be so beautiful in person. It was like I am in a storybook.
Tumalog falls is surrounded by bamboo trees that made the place more inviting. Expect more tourists are present in this area, especially on the weekends. Most of them come here after their trip to Sumilon island and whale shark in Oslob.
Let's now take a closer look at the falls!
The waterfall is massive that it covers the entire cliff. The sheer curtain waterfalls and milky blue colored water give the place a magical look.
We were amazed by the height of the falls.
I stood next to the tall tree near the waterfalls. It was so cold when we jumped into the water. I think this is the coldest waterfall in Cebu. The water in this area is shallow and its depth is 3-4 feet.
Rex and I went to the water. It was extremely cold that we only had a short span of time swimming. We had nature massage at the base of the falls.
I salute the people here who have maintained the beauty and cleanliness of the falls. They also added some cottages that is not so close to the waterfalls to have a place for eating since we are not allowed to bring our food near the waterfalls.
In conclusion, it is our duty to conserve and protect our environment for future generations. Any form of nature holds equal significance to all of us.
