Hello all you Hivers,

this is the second part of our mini break to Tokyo. Now when you only have a limited amount of time in a place you have 2 options really. Option one race around all over the place and cram in as much as possible or option 2 chill and just enjoy a little a lot. We were on an option 2 kind of trip as we needed badly to decompress. As long as I can eat great food and slurp down some great beer I'm happy. This in Japan is very easy.

On this day we decided to go and see the quite enormous City of Tokyo from high up so decided to be typical tourists and head to the Skytree.

Shinjuku Train Station Busy as hell but very organised

Once you figure out the train system in japan its super efficient and easy to get about. The Japanese pretty much expect you to be an idiot and are very helpful and polite almost everywhere. I really love it.

The Tokyo Skytree was completed in 2011 and reaches 634 meters high with 29 floors.

Tokyo is huge with the greater Tokyo area having approx 40 million people as living and working there. I find it weird that for a city with such a huge amount of people I never found it to be overwhelming as it's organised, clean and the people are just nice. Big city people usually are not know to be so friendly but here we felt very comfortable indeed.

Mind blowing to see just how big Tokyo actually is.

When looking at views like this it's had not to imagine the millions of lives that are going about their daily business. So many people eating , working , visiting families, going out on dates, shopping, driving , cycling. Just millions of stories going on.

NOW TO STUFF MY FACE

One thing about Japan. They do food extremely well and after a day of hustle and bustle trains and walking around Tokyo I fancied a hearty meal and luckily just 5 mins walk from the air B n B was a steak house.

Ikinari in Japanese means "all of a sudden" and they've got this well oiled machine working so well. When you've chosen the type of steak you want the butcher cuts it to your liking and then asks how you want ot to be cooked. For me RARE it has to be. @millycf1976 is more of a medium rare girl.

Now for some craft beers me thinks. Now we were lost after this having a wander around Shinjuku and stumbled across an amazing craft beer brewery pub called Vector Beer. It's a must if you love beer and are in Tokyo
