Another day, another early morning trip guys!
I think if it was not for my partner, I would not wake up before 8am ever in my life if I don't have to. So once up on a time when my friends came visiting us in Da Lat, James hyped the group to get up at 4 am in the morning to go for “cloud hunting”.
Where are we going?
Cau Go, a town that is 28km from Da Lat city was our destination. James actually set the alarm for 4am but we only can get out of the bed at 4.30. It was still dark as hell when we left the house.
The road to Cau Go just felt like you lost in puzzle. I honestly sh*t my pant because there was no one on the road at all, featuring with no road lights, freezing wind gave the scenario a honor movie effect. I don't think it actually a big deal if I was not an coward.
What to do here?
We arrived in Cau Go at around 5pm when it was still pretty dark. I was surprised that we was not the first people we arrived, there are so many came before us. We saw some couple were taking wedding photoshoot too but I heard you have to pay $100 for entrance fee.
There are 3 places that you can stop by for "cloud hunting" with different ticket fee. Two of them are $1.5 and the other one is $10. Seems weird but yeah you pay for what you get.
The two cheap ones only gives you short plastic chair to sit so you don't have to swap on the ground. The corner that they're located will limit you from watch the sunrise too since it's on the East side. But if it's only for watching the cloud, these spots not too too bad and they're normally the most crowded one.
My friends took thousands of the photo of them being “hot-girls”, look sweet, is it? I guess James and I were just sitting there waiting for them to finish the “photoshoot”.
We chose the more expensive one since it seems to be the perfect place for everything in overall. They will give you two options, stay at their coffee with a limited view for $5 and of course not included the the price for a drink; or you can go straight to the "cloud hunting" spot for $10. With the second option, you will have the whole view of the town, mountain around and clouds above. They provide wooden house if you want to chill inside or so huts right the edge of the mountain for you.
I used to plan to go to Sapa for this but never have a chance to do it. So Cau Go trip was my first time seeing the cloud this surreal.
The sun is rising. Sometimes I wonder whether The Sun, Moon and space really exist? The moment I saw the sun moving upward behind the trees makes me feel like the world I am living in a little bit more authentic.
My friends and I did not meet up for ages after graduating from university. It is so hard to organize any date together because each of us was busy with work and our own lives. We travelled a lot together before, I could not even count how many places we went to. Even though we were just students, money was never a matter to stop us from exploring.
I had been missing them for a while and all memories that we had in the North so when they finally came, it was the moment of the year for me, at least. Vy's hair got much longer compared to the last time I saw her, Lien got new boyfriend, Tu Anh is about to marry and Khanh is still alone. It was so wild to see how much we have changed just in a short time.
I doesn't seem like a good picture but I post it anyways because it was the only couple picture we got 😂
The place got even busier as the sun rose. Every single spot is packed. We only leave Cau Go when the weather turned from foggy cold to freaking hot. It must be around 9am. Time flies by when you have fun, my friends went to the airport to catch the flight back to Hanoi right away after that. I have no idea when it will be another time like this again, but I am sure wherever we are, I am happy if my girls are happy.
The adventure in Da Lat was just us, James and I again.
By the way, thank you for all the support for our intro post, we were actually so amazed.
Hope it will be a fun weekend ahead of you!
