"The Art of Remembrance: Jose Rizal in a Modern Perspective” — that title alone made me stop and think. Sometimes we grow up just memorizing dates and facts about him, but forget that Rizal was a real person. A young man with fears, dreams, love for his family, and a deep pain for what his country was going through. Looking at him from today’s lens makes it hit differently — like his courage still speaks to us. He wasn’t perfect, but he stood up anyway. And that’s what makes remembering him so powerful.
