Hi everyone, it's me sheeniiee! Another fun and amazing summer vacation has come.
Last weekend, I got the chance to visit Cebu Ocean Park with a few of my friends, and it turned out to be one of the most exciting days of my summer. The entrance fee was about 800 pesos, I forgot the exact amount since my friend paid for it. It is also just across SM Seaside Cebu, you can just walk from SM Seaside to the Ocean Park. This is really a good vacation for me since I’ve always loved animals, especially sea creatures, so this place felt like the perfect adventure. From the moment we stepped in, I knew we were in for a fun time.
The first thing that caught my eye was a huge aquarium filled with clownfish and bright-colored corals. It reminded me of Finding Nemo! There were so many different types of fish swimming around, and each one looked more interesting than the last. We went from one tank to another, and it felt like diving under the sea without getting wet. And of course we found nemo just swimming inside the tank, lol.
One of the coolest parts of the trip was seeing some unique and rare animals. I saw an African Bullfrog—it was so big and just chilling under a log inside its tank. It looked funny but also kinda scary. Then I saw the mata mata turtle, and wow, that one was wild. It had a super weird flat face and a shell that made it look like a piece of bark. At first, I thought it was a rock, but then it moved. We also got to see this very popular and amazing lizard, a bearded dragon type of lizard. These are only the few kinds of creatures we saw, I didn't have the chance to take photos of the other creatures because I enjoyed my time there. I really took my time to see and appreciate everything that made me forgot to take pictures.
Later on that day, we watched a bird show that featured parrots and even eagles. The parrots could talk, and one of them even said “hello” to the audience, which made everyone laugh. I also forgot the names of the birds because I was entertained a lot. The eagle was massive and flew right over our heads. It was a little scary but also super cool to see one up close. I didn’t know birds could be that smart.
Of course, we also saw sharks, and that was probably the highlight for a lot of us. They were swimming in a big tank, and I just stood there staring at them. It felt unreal seeing sharks just a few inches away behind the glass. I even got to take a few photos and videos to remember the moment.
Outside, there were shaded areas with small ponds and spots to relax or take pictures. The weather was super hot, but the experience made it all worth it. The whole place had a fun and chill vibe, perfect for a summer outing.
Overall, it was an unforgettable trip. I learned a lot, saw amazing creatures, and had a blast with my friends. It made me realize more how beautiful every creature is and how amazing it is to actually see it in person. It is highly recommended and I'm sure it's very worth it.
