Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
After my unforgettable El Nido island adventure, I still had more to explore in Palawan. Right after my Underground River Exploration, I decided to drop by one of the most popular spots in Puerto Princesa, the Baker’s Hill. I was still on a high from all the beautiful sights I had seen. ☺️❤️
Baker’s Hill is known as the #1 delicacies hub for tourists visiting Palawan. It’s not just a place to buy pasalubong or souvenirs and treats to take home, but also a mini park where you can stroll, relax, and enjoy the scenery. Aside from their famous baked goodies like hopia, crinkles, tarts, cakes and more, Baker’s Hill has become top tourist spots in the city because of its wide, beautifully landscaped park where visitors can relax, take pictures, and simply enjoy the scenery. It’s a fun mix of nature, art, and good food, which is probably why it’s so loved by both locals and travelers. It has also a family-friendly vibe. ❤️
When I arrived with my friend, the one I had asked to drive me with his motorcycle, accompanied me inside. He also became my photographer for the day, which I really appreciated. The moment we entered, we headed straight to the park. ❤️
The park is surprisingly big and has a refreshing atmosphere. There’s a forest-like area filled with trees and plants that make the perfect backdrop for photos. I had several shots in different angles, making sure to capture the relaxing and green surroundings.
One of the attractions there is a big LOVE sign placed on the ground, definitely a must for picture taking.
I also enjoyed sitting on their cute benches like hammocks, where you can swing gently. It’s such a simple thing, but it makes you feel so relaxed. ☺️❤️
In some corners, there are big heart shapes and even hugot quotes related to love. 🤭🤭
For those who like overlooking views, there’s an area where you can go up and see the beautiful greenery of the mountains from above. The breeze was refreshing, and the scenery was calming. It's a perfect little escape from the busyness of city life. ❤️
And who wouldn’t smile seeing the Shrek family statues? Yes, the Shrek family! Well, not the real ones of course, but life-sized statues of Shrek, Fiona, and their kids. It added a fun and playful vibe to the place. It’s a spot that both kids and adults can enjoy. ❤️
They also have a restaurant inside, perfect for tourists who want to eat or dine in if hungry after strolling around. I took a picture at the entrance but didn’t go in since I wasn’t planning to eat yet, my main mission here was to buy delicacies.
Before heading to the bakeshop, I took more photos at the beautiful plaza. There’s a big craft of the name Baker’s Hill displayed prominently, a giant Christmas trees made from recycled plastic bottles, and even big teddy bear decorations. It’s so green everywhere, and the combination of plants, art, and creativity makes it such a cheerful place. ❤️
Finally, I went inside the bakeshop. It’s filled with so many delicious options that it’s hard to choose. Since I was on a budget, I picked my favorites like hopia, crinkles, tarts, and a few slices of cake. These treats are perfect for bringing home as pasalubong for family and friends or for yourself if you can’t resist!
Before leaving, I took one last picture holding the goodies I bought, with Bakeshop in the background. It was a simple yet memorable stop during my Puerto Princesa trip. ❤️
For me, Baker’s Hill is more than just a place to buy sweets, it’s a charming park where you can take a break, enjoy nature, and bring home a taste of Palawan.
Until the next adventure!☺️❤️
