Village of artisans and artists
A place to buy whatever you want for your home at unbeatable prices, I am referring to the town of Tintorero in the state of Lara Venezuela, it was an obligatory stop on my trip to this area of the country. I knew I had to bring money, but I spent it on sweets and food, so I was left with the desire to take many things home.
For example, the hammocks and chinchorros are half the price, 50% less than in the center of the country, there is a woven chair called sweet dreams and a piece of furniture that resembles a hammock, both are hung from the ceiling and are worth about 60 dollars while in Caracas they are at 320 dollars, five times their value and so on with many of the things you get in Tintorero.

Un lugar para comprar lo que quieras para tu hogar a precios insuperables, me refiero al pueblo de Tintorero en el estado Lara Venezuela, fue una parada obligatoria de mi viaje a esta zona del país. Sabía que tenía que llevar dinero, pero lo gaste en dulces y comida así que me quede con las ganas de llevar muchas cosas a la casa.
Por ejemplo, las hamacas y chinchorros están mitad de precio 50% menos que en el centro del país, hay una silla tejida que llaman dulces sueños y un mueble que asemeja a una hamaca las dos se cuelgan del techo valen unos 60 dólares mientras que en Caracas están a 320 dólares quintuplican su valor y así con muchas de las cosas que se consiguen en Tintorero.

What is Tintorero and where is it located?
It is a small town that is 20 minutes from the capital of Lara Barquisimeto, is composed of a few blocks and only two streets are those that are full of businesses that offer various handicrafts, at the entry, there are large letters that say welcome to Tintorero with a typical instrument a giant cuatro on one base and a violin on the other side, nice and peculiar message of welcome. The stores have objects in wooden materials such as cups, plates, and spoons, wooden fruits to decorate, toys, wind musical instruments such as the cuatro, the bandola, also maracas, and fabrics: there are tablecloths, placemats, purses, hats, clothing, leather has from hunted, key chains to furniture, kitchen utensils such as buds, frying pan, pots made of cast iron and clay cups, there are countless things you can buy.
Que es Tintorero y donde está ubicado
Es un pueblo pequeño que queda a 20 minutos de la capital de Lara Barquisimeto, está compuesto de pocas cuadras y solo dos calles son las que están llenas de negocios que ofrecen diversas artesanías, en su entrada tienen unas letras grandes que dicen bienvenidos a Tintorero con un instrumento típico un cuatro gigante en una base y un violín en el otro lado, bien lindo y peculiar mensaje de recibimiento. Los negocios tienen objetos en materiales de madera como: tazas, platos y cucharas, frutas de madera para decorar, juguetes, instrumentos musicales de viento como: el cuatro, la bandola, también maracas, tejidos: existen manteles, individuales de mesa, carteras, sombreros, ropa, de cuero tienen desde cazados, llaveros hasta muebles, utensilios de cocina como budares, sartén, ollas hechas de hierro colado y tazas de arcilla, son innumerables las cosas que se pueden comprar.
There are stores to eat and buy trinkets, all in a comfortable environment, the vendors do not stun you as happens elsewhere, it is a lonely town with a warm climate unlike the hills of Cubiro which is in the same state and is very cold if you go through this state do not miss the opportunity to buy good things, well made, quality, beautiful and economical also you will be contributing to the humble work of an artisan who takes a long time to learn the trade and then create his work.
Hay negocios para comer y comprar chucherías, todo bajo un ambiente cómodo, los vendedores no te aturden como pasa en otras partes, es un pueblo solitario con un clima cálido a diferencia de las lomas de Cubiro que se encuentra en el mismo estado y es muy frio, si vas a pasar por este estado no pierdas la oportunidad de comprar cosas buenas, bien hechas, de calidad, bonitas y económicas además estarás contribuyendo con el humilde trabajo de un artesano que le lleva mucho tiempo aprender el oficio para luego crear su obra.
One of the things that I looked at and brought me nice memories was some rag dolls, these are typical of the villages and when I was little my parents always gave me this kind of dolls, they are made of fabric and stuffed with cuttings and pieces of strokes, they put long braids and are very nice to hug, they make them in different sizes, my parents liked them so much that when I was 3 years old they dressed me up as a rag doll, but that's another story to tell.
I was only able to buy two little things, a brain massager that I wanted to have for a long time and a drum that serves to clean the environment with its hollow sound, the two things cost me 3 dollars each, so I did not leave empty-handed. My recommendation is that if you have the opportunity to go through Tintorero do not miss it and take advantage of its unbeatable prices.
Solo pude comprar dos cositas, un masajeador cerebral que quería tenerlo desde hace mucho tiempo y un tambor que sirve para limpiar los ambientes con su sonido hueco, las dos cosas me costaron 3 dólares cada una, así que no me fui con las manos vacías. Mi recomendación es que si tienes la oportunidad de pasar por Tintorero no la pierdas y aprovecha los precios insuperables.
