Any unplanned travel gives a completelly different dimension to life. As it was not plan we have to prepare everything instantly and quickly, so that nothing could miss out. She thing happened to me when my nephew put my name in thir Travel list and bought my tickets for travelling. It was a quick trip made to Haridwar. The trip took me to some flashback memory of my earlier years, when I used to be a regular visitor over the weekend. Again finding myself at the same spot after so many years, bring back all my nostalgic memory.
Haridwar is an ancient pligrimiage site, famous for Ganga river. It is also known as Gateway to Gods, because people wash off their sins here.
Haridwar is one of the first towns where Ganga emerges from the mountains to touch the planes.
It is assumed that, one can get rid of all their sins of this birth by taking a dip at this holy river. People from far off places visited this place around the years. But now a days, it has becomes more of weekend spot for the travellor. But our trip is for different purpose. Finding the flowing Ganga after so many years is a treat to our eyes.
Due to heavy rainfall in the mountains the stream is very fast and also the water is bit muddy. But still it was a perfect place to make perfect time. Many man made shores were made along the river for the travellors. It was done to control the rush at the river Bank and manage heavy traffic. Being a pligrimiage site, there is an ancient Ganga temple at one end of the river bank.
So much have changed over the years, the temple has now hold some more attractive looks with illuminating colorful lights. The glowing temple at the night is making the place very attractive. I loved the colourful look.
Like any other people, we also went onto take a dip in the holy water. Especially I needed that as recently I concluded my dad's funeral. So I took a nice hour dip late at night 9PM inside the Ganga. It also helps us to refresh and get rid all tiredness.
As I said, the pligrimiage site has turned into a holiday spot, so we can find many family sitting and enjoying the river flow and also enjoying the charismatic view of the river.
While at the same another group of young enjoying the cool dip and enjoying their time. So overall the place has everything for all genre of people. Be it family or be it young groups or people like us, went for some special purpose.
The place is alwsy buzzing with people, especially during day time when many people visit the place. Cashing on the oppurtunity many hawkers were seen at the river front. They were selling their all needed stuffs like water gallon to plastic sheet. They were still been seen late at the night.

Well after the good stroll over the river front and spending more than 2 hrs at night. I revisited all my previous memory. So much have hanged over the years around the place and it has got more better than before. After some good time, we went for dinner and luckily, we find the shop open.
Revisting old places alwsys refreshes us and brings backs all the nostalgic tike that we lived into. It is good to make a visit very often and enjoy all the best time of the life.
