Hello once again from a new place. I've finally made it to Thailand. This time I am really excited about sharing some of my photos because I have never been outside of Europe before and everything is so cool here. I have wanted to come here for a long time but never had the chance.
I sadly have not yet bought a new camera because I had some trouble with the mobile bank I have been using so been in a bit of a tricky situation financially. Anyway, it's coming soon and I will probably use it a lot since everything is so beautiful here.
So far I have only been in Bangkok but a friend of mine did take me on a day trip to a nearby place called Ayutthaya. It's a historic place where you will find a bunch of old temples and other historical buildings. Sadly most of it has been destroyed by the Burmese in 1767 but without knowing how it looked before I would almost say that it looks even cooler now. Alright so let's get started with the photos.
You can see that someone really tried to destroy this place and probably the most noticeable thing is that someone has chopped off the heads of every single Buddha statue inside the place. It was a crazy hot day when I was there which made it kind of hard to just chill due to me being from way cooler temperatures but it was still an awesome day.
There are so many cool things to see around this city and I've loved everything about it so far. From food to the people and cool locations that you can explore. I just maybe came a little bit at the wrong time since supposedly on the 1st of May they are lifting most of the travel restrictions. Other than that I love Thailand and could honestly just stay here.
In this picture, you can see that two statues have survived and I am not sure if they were restored or just left alone for some reason. After walking around the place for some time and enjoying the vibes we decided to go to the next place to see one of my favorite animals, the elephant. I don't support places that keep animals like that but I was reassured that this place was one of the good ones and the elephants are treated really well.
These big bois were moving around a lot and it kinda looked like they were dancing. You can see that they actually look kinda happy and the one in the middle almost looks like he's laughing. They were probably just really excited about people bringing food to feed them. I also fed them some cucumbers(not sure why cucumbers lol) and corn.
The last attraction of the day was the head of Buddha which according to the information that was written next to it had fallen off a statue and then they just left it and it grew into the roots over a long time. Looked cool in my opinion. Not sure how accurate the info is though because the translations are oftentimes not the best. After that, it started raining which was a welcome surprise due to how hot it had been all day but that's also when we decided to leave and return to Bangkok.
The trip has so far been great and I will explore so much more in the coming days. I will keep posting most of it here and I hope you will like it. This is it for today and I hope to see you next time. Thank you for the support I have received so far with the travel posts. I will make sure to improve the quality of the photos asap and post a lot of great stuff. See ya next time!
