In Beijing Municipality, Miyun is one of the largest districts and is located in the northern region of the city. It is also the next district to where I live. The Miyun district is about 70 km away from the downtown area of Beijing, which is the most eastern-northern district. After it, there is no other district. This district is closer to nature as it has a large number of mountain forests, lakes, and rivers that make this place a place of natural beauty. There are a lot of mountains in the northern area of Beijing. A small group of people lives in this far-off place, and there aren't many big buildings in the city. A lot of people live in the hilly towns that make up this area, a unique living place.
Recently, during my weekend, I visited a new area of the city. Miyun City is a great destination for a trip for a nature lover like me. The small roadside Park that I visited is a cool scenic spot for the nearby residents. Everyone is welcome at this park area, as there is no need for a ticket, as this is a small place. These photos were taken from different viewpoints in this area. It's so beautiful there to explore the natural beauty surrounding.
The weather is getting better in this spring season, and the scenery is more beautiful now. The sky is blue with a touch of white clouds there, and the air is also very good with a long view range. Also, the destination was very flexible and could be visited by taking the bus from my living area. It doesn't take long from here, and it doesn't cost me much. There are several routes to get there, and bus services are available throughout the day, which makes it a great place for my travel destination.
A lot of mountains can be found in the Miyun area, mostly in the north and west. In the middle of the city, the park had beautiful views as it is a large open space just beside a small river. There are some smaller resting places on the riverside plain lake area as the water is not so deep in the roadside area. These structures are very common throughout China as they reflect their traditional touch. From there, the 360-degree views are so stunning as the open space in the surrounding area is so beautiful, with the modern city on one side and the mountains on the other side.
As winter is over, the frozen water of the water body is now completely melted, and the water is so clean that I can see the ground level. I was trying to see some fish there, but unfortunately, there were very few fish, and I saw some people trying to catch some fish. Also, the grasses in the whole lake area where the water depth is not so high do not turn a golden color as they die during the winter. I have seen that they are cleaned by the authority, but here they are still kept untouched in this region of the city.
I have also found an exploration tower in the park area, which is quite high, but the access was locked; otherwise, I could explore the whole city area from the top of the beautiful tower. Initially, I thought that this would be an old temple, but later I found that it is just an exploration tower, and it has a great decorative color, as you can see. Also, the corners of the roofs are decorated with different animals as the Chinese people believe these animals are their protectors of the house.
When I have visited this beautiful gems of the city, it was in the early afternoon so the sun was so bright and the brightness of the surrounding colorful appearance was really breathtaking. After about one hour, I left the place when the sun started going down, and the golden rays from the sun shone through all of the city's buildings and structures, changing the colour of the whole city.
The view from the riverbank was one of the most beautiful, and the trees along the road with their colourful lights were also lovely, even though I had seen them on my way back to my room. In conclusion, anyone who likes to explore their surroundings and can find pleasure in everything can enjoy nature anywhere. That's what a traveler should try to do, as I always try to find some amazing location to spend my time with nature.
