Hi dear Hive community!
We hope everyone is enjoying the Sunday, here in Europe we finally have some sun after long period of rain.
Like promised here is the continue part from the previous post about visiting Spain during the summer.
After exploring the amazing city of Madrid, my next destination was in more remote areas of Spain, far away from the busy traffic and crowd. Already before my journey I agreed with my dear friend Luis from Zaragoza, to visit him and give him some company since he was going through difficult times recovering after a motorbike accident. In times like this it's always good to motivate others and give them some positive vibes for the upcoming future.
He wanted to show me his second home located in Mochales, which is in the center of Spain. Therefore, I took the superfast train from Madrid to the middle of nowhere. From there they picked me up, and we finally reached the goal.
There were already majority of his relatives waiting for the feast to start. This family reunions on the countryside are a common thing in Spainsh culture. They all accepted me very well and quickly I become comfortable and enjoyed nice music, conversation and food. The house in which we were staying was very rural and ancient, full of old things like ancient weapons, tools, etc.
After the food we went on a night walk where we explored the area. Even though the landscape seems dry and is ful of canyons, under the surface hide many underground lakes which are reserves of fresh water for the Spain. Some people say that it's the biggest water reserve of Spain.
On the next day I woke up very early to discover the area, because everyone was still sleeping. In the nearby river I spotted a lot of crabs and shells. The weather was pleasant and landscape with red earth looked magnificent.
After coming back we started preparing the big lunch for the full family. The day was a lot of fun. I discovred that there were a lot of fossils found in this area.
In the late afternoon we drove away to discovered hot springs where we were chilling until the evening. The area is really nice, and offers a lot of sightseeings. Here we took a swim and enjoyed a lot.
Since I pointed out the beautiful fossils, we decided to explore more about it. Luis showed me the beautiful fossils in the nearby area, where we also searched for new ones. Some I took home to give as a present. They are really astonishing to see!
Later in the evening we started a long drive to reach Zaragoza, as we needed to attend early morning rehabilitaion. There was already more hot, you could felt immediately. Before going to sleep we played a nice match of cheese. I really enjoyed a lot my time there.
As always, thank you for reading and see you in the next one!
Wish you all a beautiful rest of the weekend!
