๐ GOING TO SOLO ๐ Praying at a Mosque Given by the King of Saudi Arabia?! YES, PLEASE!
Hello everyone, this time I want to take you all to Solo! Yes, the birthplace of the 7th President of Indonesia, Mr. Jokowi. So the story is that I'm traveling to Solo, while filling my vacation so that my mind doesn't freeze like an old laptop. After walking around from morning to noon, I thought about praying Asr at the viral mosque, a crowded mosque with beautiful architecture. Its name is SHEIKH ZAYED MOSQUE, gosh seriously this mosque has been on my wishlist for a long time. This mosque was built by the King of Saudi Arabia, which is said to be the twin of the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Crazy, when else can I go here, right?! ๐ฑ
Without thinking for long, I immediately went there. Even though the sun was grinning widely, my spirits were no less bright!, haha. And when I arrived... MASYAALLAH .... is this a mosque or a palace?! Beautiful and very luxurious wooiiii ๐
๐ MOSQUE OR FILM SET? SO MAGNIFICENT WITHOUT ASKING ๐
While still on the way, from a distance the aura of the sultan was already very visible. Pure white color, big shiny domes, plus tall towers like in a fairy tale land. I thought for a moment, is this Solo or Abu Dhabi version of Central Java?
As soon as I got out of the car, I was immediately amazed by the vibes. This mosque is luxurious, but not intimidating. In fact, it's like inviting us to come in and... relax. It really makes the heart feel cool before being hit by the mosque's AC ๐
๐ GOING INSIDE: OKAY, THIS IS SERIOUSLY SO BEAUTIFUL ๐
The moment I stepped in, I seriously felt like hugging the person who designed it! The inside is gorgeous, and the carpet? So soft I almost wanted to lie down (but heyโsacred place, remember! ๐ ). The chandeliers shine like stars, super fancy. And the gold calligraphy on the walls? Itโs like theyโre saying, โ Hey, look at me, Iโm fabulous!โ ๐
I immediately took ablution to get ready for Asr prayer. When I took ablution, I was amazed by the appearance of the ablution area, which was sooooo beautiful, I was really speechless when I saw it, it was so clean and luxurious. And when the imam started reading Al-Fatihah... really, I immediately got goosebumps. His voice was soft, very pleasant to listen to, and made me focus on praying without thinking about the drama of life ๐ญ
๐ AFTER PRAYING, GO AROUND! (AND TAKE PHOTOS, OF COURSE) ๐
After praying, I didnโt go home straight away. I immediately walked around the mosque yard. There were so many spots that made my hands itch to take pictures. There were corridors lined with tall pillars (it felt like a magazine photoshoot), a small, beautiful green park, and the outside of the mosque which was really instagrammable. But remember to be polite, this is a place of worshipโpose politely, don't overdo it ๐
There are also many visitors from out of town. Some even bring their families for a small picnic around the yard. Children play, mothers chat casually, and everything feels very peaceful. It feels like a big community gathered for one purposeโworship and recharge, it really makes my heart peaceful โจ
๐ THE SULTAN'S MOSQUE BUT STILL FRIENDLY AND FRIENDLY ๐
While walking around, I saw that the mosque staff were also super friendly! I asked about the history of the mosque (pretending to be a little friendly), and they smiled broadly while explaining that this mosque was a gift from the President of the United Arab Emirates to President Jokowi. Wow, Solo is really proud to be chosen as the place! hihiii
What makes me happy is that even though this is a super grand mosque, the atmosphere is not stiff at all. In fact, it is warm and welcoming to everyone. Whether you come to pray, study, or just find peaceโanything is possible.
๐ HAPPY CONCLUSION: IT'S A MOSQUE, BUT IT FEELS LIKE A HOLIDAY OF THE SOUL ๐
Honestly, I will never forget the experience of Asr prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Wow, how magnificent it is, you get the calm vibes, you get the atmosphere, and of course... you get the photos too, isn't that great!
If you go to Solo, you MUST stop by here. Not only for worship, but also for feeling an atmosphere that... can't be explained. Anyway, you have to come here and experience it for yourself. I've added it to my list of "places to visit again" when I return to Solo. Maybe at Maghrib you can get such a romantic sunset sky, wow, I can't wait to go there again ๐
