MY DAY AT MATA AIR COKRO (OMAC) KLATEN Sun, Springs, and So Much Fun 💙

This time I want to tell you about my trip to Klaten. Oh yeah, you know? I found out about this place from my friend, and she highly recommended it because it's a spring that comes straight from the mountains and is incredibly fresh and the water is even used as a source of drinking water for a well-known brand, wow!
So, it started with me being bored at home during the holidays, I thing to do something and yaaa ... I decided to go to Klaten to visit a friend, wohoooo. After a journey of about 8 hours, I arrived and was warmly welcomed. Because it was already night, I just cleaned myself and then went to sleep when I arrived at my friend's house, yeayyy!
The next morning, my friend cheerfully woke me up and said:
"Let's go to Cokro Spring?!"
"Huh? What?"
"Cokro Spring, that's what people like to call OMAC (Objek Mata Air Cokro)."
It turns out this place is indeed famous for its many springs, and one of them is Cokro Spring, because the water is pure, fresh and natural, straight from the mountains. I agreed and immediately got ready, singing with excitement.
After everything was ready, we immediately set off for the location by private vehicle to get there faster. Our journey there wasn't long, with a smooth route and beautiful views of the many rice fields owned by local residents.
Upon arrival, we parked our vehicle and went straight to the ticket counter to buy entrance tickets. For Rp 15,000 per person, we bought three tickets and headed straight to the spring. It was very hot, and soaking in the spring water was the perfect choice.
Upon entering the pool, we were presented with a stretch of beautiful, clear river with a fairly gentle current. It was so refreshing to look at, we wanted to jump in immediately, haha.
While looking around, we looked for a sheltered place to put our belongings. We chose a mat for our shelter. After finding shelter, we changed clothes and immediately dipped into the spring pool that had been beckoning me to dive in. I couldn’t resist, I jumped right in and “Byuuurrr!” the splash went everywhere! The water was really ... cold and instantly refreshing, exactly what I needed after being out in the sun for so long.
The water was super clear, you didn’t even have to try to see the bottom. It felt fresh and real, like nature doing its thing without any filters. Honestly, the place gave off Bali vibes, but it was way calmer and way more budget friendly. 😄
What really made this place exciting was the river tubing. Just imagine floating leisurely on a tube, following the calm river current, with the occasional small rapids that made you jump in. Especially with friends, you're guaranteed to laugh out loud and get wet together!
Plus, there's also a natural swimming pool for those who want to play in the water without having to float. Kids can join in too, as there's a safe shallow area and several water rides. It's perfect for families, couples, or groups to have fun, perfect!
Oh yeah, the facilities here are also great. There are clean bathrooms, a dining area, a prayer room, and a gazebo for relaxing or simply laying out a mat while snacking (like us, haha).
In conclusion:
Cokro Spring locals call it OMAC—is one of those places in Klaten that you just have to check out, especially if you’re into water fun but want to escape the usual city chaos. The vibe is chill, the nature is real, and the water? Next-level fresh!
