I very often go to the Sinabung mountain area with my wife. Seeing the beautiful mountain scenery and breathing as much fresh air as possible. And the distance from my house to Mount Sinabung is not too far, I only need 2 hours of travel by riding my motorbike and the route on Mount Sinabung is always free from traffic jams. I have explored all of the Sinabung mountain area and this time my wife and I will see the beautiful scenery but in a slightly extreme area. Why do I call this area extreme because of several logical reasons that I will explain one by one.
The first reason is because this hidden place is located in Gamber Village. One of the villages that has died due to the impact of Mount Merapi Sinabung and this village is one of the red zones with the most losses of material and immaterial victims and you can see some permanent houses that have been abandoned by their owners to evacuate even though Mount Sinabung last erupted in 2015. However, cold lava floods still occur several times in this area
And the second reason is to enjoy the beauty of this tourist attraction we will be faced with steep paths and slightly deep sand because the sand comes from the eruption of Mount Merapi. Not only that, the large rocks here also come from Mount Merapi Sinabung. so to get to the edge of the river of Mount Sinabung I have to be careful with the steep road and make sure my motorbike is okay and able to pass through this terrain.
And when I arrived at the place. it was truly an extraordinary sight when the cold mountain wind hit my skin but at the same time there was a desert wind that hit my skin. Not only that and when we faced the part of Mount Sinabung that stood proudly without any trees blocking it I immediately knew that it must be very hot there and the place I was standing at that time was also very hot. There were no trees around it because it was indeed influenced by Mount Merapi Sinabung.
Nevertheless, this beauty must be enjoyed. The mountain water is very clear and very cold. All the terrain that I have traveled is paid off when I see the water of this river. Large rocks surround it as if it were a wall here. And the rocks here are naturally arranged from the eruption of Mount Sinabung which is very close. And what I have a question that has not been answered is whether this beautiful river flow existed before Mount Sinabung erupted and naturally became a cold lava flood flow or this river only existed when Mount Merapi erupted. Because this river is not deep at all. And just like a regular water flow so my second assumption could happen. But without thinking about it I just enjoy the scenery. Oh yes, to go to this tourist attraction, come very early or in the afternoon before sunset to avoid the hot sun. To enter here is still free but you still have to be careful, friends.
