Hope y'all are doing great!
In the last blog I have shared My experience at the ganga ghat And as I mentioned that I'll return to this place to attend the ganga arti, so here I am, sharing my experience and everything about the Arti Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
It was around four thirty in the evening , and I decided to go near the ghats of river ganga in order to secure my seat. Somaeone told me the previous day that you need to reach her first as the crowd is really insane here, so to attend the arti peacefully you must reach early.
I thought I was early, but as soon as I reached here, I saw people sitting around the banks of riva ganga and they have already secured the seats for themselves. In the picture above you can see the crowd and I kid you not there was a real struggle behind securing the seat for yourself and somehow I succeeded. The arti is conducted twice both at morning and evening. The evening timings are around 6-7 pm and it lasts for pretty good , forty five minutes.
This is a temple at Har ki Pauri, haridwar, which is dedicated to Maa Ganga and every devotee , as well as visitor take blessings from this temple. It was decorated beautifully with lights from inside as well as outside and there was a priest out there giving 'Prasad' to people coming to the temple. Prasad is a food, mostly sweet that is prepared at temple and distributed amongst the devotees as a blessing from Ganga Maa.
Around six in the evening , the artist started and the priest started to perform rituals and he also started to chant mantras. As the arti started all the bells of the temple started to ring in harmony with the mantras. The rituals were performed bye the priest using a large fire bowls, they are also called divas. They were total 5 to 7 priests who are performing the rituals off ganga aarti together.
The movement of all the priest were synchronized and these moments were very specific and unique along with the large fire lamps. The crowd was singing mantras along with the priest, loud and clear. It was a great spiritual experience , and the vibes of the place was something else. Compared to the morning Aarti, people attend evening Arti more as it is more convenient for everybody to attend the evening Aarti. Also during some auspicious day or festival, the place becomes too crowded.
The sound of bells and the mantras help you to calm down all the anxious thoughts going inside you and It brings peace to your soul. These pictures shows it all. For the record , all these pictures are taken by me with my Sony Camera.
As the priest starts to perform specific moments with the huge diya, the people closed it to the priest also touch it. In the picture above it can be seen easily. The Indian culture is rich. And this place shows the reflection of our culture , and our rich heritage.
With the reflection of the light from the huge lamps in the holy water og river ganga created a warm light effect and it was so peaceful and pleasant experience to be here.
Just like me everybody around wanted to capture this phenomenal arti in their camera's and the picture above showas it all. This place is so holy, as soon as I entered here, I can feel the positive vibes around me and the evening arti helped me to heal and to calm down all the wold thought inside me. I'm grateful that I didn't missed the arti as it was phenomenal and too good for my soul. Everyone can relate to this line and if you are Indian and reading this then you know exactly what I'm talking.
These are some of the pictures of huge diyas of the priest, I was talking about. At night , it was looking like a fireball with so much reflection and warmth coming out of it.
There are lots of sacred places in India where evening aarties, as well as morning artists are performed. If you have experienced such do let me know in comments.
This is how the ghat of Ganga looks during the arti-
"bright, light and a wonderful sight"
Maa ganga is considered the Symbol of priority and to honour her ganga, arti performed. This aarti is a form of gratitude to maa ganga and to all the rivers in the world as they play a great role in providing life.
The huge flames of the diyas symbolize the removal of darkness with the positivity, purity and knowledge. At the end of the arti, I offered the floating diyas on the holy water of Maa Ganga. Overall my experience here was too good. It's undescribable and the positivity you get form the arti helps you to move forward in life with love and gratitude. Well words can't express how grateful I'm to be here and if you also wants to feel the same then once in lifetime do visit the place.
Hope you enjoyed the blog as much as I enjoyed the arti.
Thank you so much for reading.
