The temple is so powerful and people of this area believe that Hatkoti Mata is protecting the people of the area from so long and fulfil all their desires. Also there is so many folklore associated with this temple.
At the entrance of the temple and at the starting there is this stone structure which represent some God, and it is believed that before taking the blessings of Mata rani you have to take the blessings from him. He is proctor of the temple.
And then there come this beautiful entrance of the temple which is has unique architecture and made with wood and stone which and some handcrafted carvings on it which reflects the excellence of that ear.
Complex of The Temple
You will be amazes to know that the complex of this temple is believed to have been constructed during the 6th and 8th centuries AD. dedicated to Maa Hateshwari, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, this temple is beautiful and attracts devotees from all over the world.
The 1.2-meter-high idol which is crafted from eight precious metal is the highlight of the temple. This idol depicts the goddess with ten arms, riding a lion, and slaying the demon Mahishasura. Inscriptions in an undeciphered script adorn the sides of the idol, adding to the beauty of temple. The idol shows Mata rani with ten arms, riding a lion, and slaying the demon Mahishasura.
As soon as you enter the complex you will see two huge brass lions. They are the traditional emblem of Goddess Durga, and they also holds great cultural and regional significance. They welcome each and every devotee and adds to the beauty of temple reflecting the rich architectural heritage of the area. they reminds each and every devotee the power of Hatkoti Maa and signify inner strength.
The day was beautiful and after so many days of mild rainfall finally the sun is shining and blessing us with it's energy. As soon as i entered the temple, the numerous thoughts in my mind calmed down and I felt positive energy within me. The complex of this temple is so beautiful and big enough to do pooja and can accommodate 500- 1000 people at a time. During Navratri, the temple is decorated with lights and flowers and many rituals and ceromancies are held here. For someone visiting the temple for very first time, I would recommend you guys to visit during the Navratri.
Stone Structures Representing Pandavas
At this complex you will also find huge stone structures that represents The Pandeva's - Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadeva—who were main figures in the Mahabharata.
It is believed by the locals that the Panadas spent some time here in this area during their exile. As a result, the stone structures are tribute to their spiritual and heroic legacy.
Now these figures remain as a part of devotional practices and and help to share stories of that generation to this generation and more.
As we move towards the mail temple, there is this huge brass vessel which was traditionally used for storing water but now it's a decorative element adding to the beauty of the temple.
This huge vessel is also used in many rituals and it symbolize the abundance and protection as water is a important element in Hindu rituals. In lot's of Hindu temples you will see such huge vessels made up of metals which hold great significance and reflects the rich culture.
And these are some of the pictures of pandit g, the one who do all the morning and evening arti and pooja at the temple and offer prasad as a blessing to the devotees.
The Shiva Temple
Along with the mail temple, there is a small temple dedicated to lord shiva nd it has a huge Shivalinga in it and it's wider then the entrance of the shiva temple.
Outside the shiva temple there is Status of Nandi Maharaj, who is mount of Lord Shiva and the protector of the temple.
And it is believed that, if you tell all your wishes in the ear of Nandi Maharaj, he delivers the message to Lord Shiva in no time.
The entry to the temple is fee and it opens at 6 in the morning and closes at 9 in the evening.
You can even take picture inside the complex, it's allowed and forth record I have taken all these pictures by myself with my DJI Action camera.
Well it was all about my visit to this temple and I hope you enjoyed reading it. Do let me know your opinion about it in the comments.
