Radhe Radhe Everyone!
Hope y'all are doing great.
In my recent blog, I've shared my experience of visiting a fair with my friends at sector 34 in chandigarh , India. Here's a link to the blog in case you missed it.
Well , there was lot more that I would love to share with So here I am making the second part
about the fair. If you have already read my previous blog then i'm sure you guys know how much we enjoyed. Honestly, I love fair, I love how the ordinary lights make everything look enchanted and the sizzling smell of the street , food, cotton candy and popcorn which attract people of different age group. Watching people enjoying the swings, hearing them scream out and the giggles of the kids all lights me up and bring smile to everybody's face. It's like a magic happening in between the city that lights everybody up.
So after taking the giant swing and the boat swing we went further to discover more about the fair although we were feeling dizzy, but we were also enjoying it. We saw a stall full of idols off mythological creatures, God's, tiny dragons In lot more.
In the picture above, you can see the different idols there and they were made up of metal, so they were really heavy and costly as well, but the staff here at the fair is still cheaper than the stuff you get at the mall and I don't think there's much difference in quality as well. So it's better if you would need any decorative item for your house. You should buy it from a fair. This shop was quite entrassing it doesn't includes adals only it has vast collection of vases and other decorative items.
Further we saw crockery and honestly the plates were not just pretty they told stories and the feel of royals was there in it. They were also made up of metals. Well, they had vast collection, so you can get everything you want in metal or in plastic. The art on the plates were making it interesting and there was a different colour used in making of each plate, which was giving boho vibes. The light was falling directly on them and from a distance they were looking really amazing.
Here comes the royal tea set which is not use by commoners in the daily life, but they belong to the era of kings and queen. But the owner of sharp has made it possible for everybody to feel like a king and queen by making it available at this fair. The tea set is made up of copper metal and there was a detailed work done in it, which look impressive and someone can easily guess the hard work that goes behind making them. So I guess the price is not too much for such unique items.
Music plays a very important role in fair as without some interesting background music how would a fair look like? And to my surprise, I found a stall or a shop selling items related to music and honestly, I couldn't believe it cause nowadays nobody goes to fair and no one except expect such unique and great shops selling piece of art at normal price.
Then a unique smell of popcorn attracted all of us and we ended up at a popcorn stall. We
saww an old uncle selling freshly prepared pocorn all alone. This is the only popcorn stall.I have seen so far here and I can guess the uncle has earned good amount of money even I have seen small kids giggling around with coins in their fist, wanting popcorn. The kids laughed even more when he toasted the popcorn high into the sky in paper cones. It reminded me of my childhood when I used to do exactly the same.
Then I reached at a quietest place in the whole fair, and it was a little book stall, with limited lights ,no speakers with blaring offers. There was an old uncle , their everyone will calling him Khan chaca. He was quite famous but still we didn't knew him. Kids were running all around his tall, making different now says but he never scolded anyone. He was really nice and the collection of book was amazing. There was a load with dining paper on the stall , which says-
You don't find stories, they find you.
come back when your heart need another
Wooden craft shop
What I saw next was unbelievable. There was a wooden craft shop at the edge of fare under the fairy lights.
With life like detailed there were many tiny animal and birds, vase all created by hands. This fair is second definition of art and first definition of joy and laughter.
There were many wooden boxes there which is used to keep precious jewelries. There were mirror, table chairs and more. One can shop wooden article from here at very affordable price. The shopkeeper there said wood remember every hand that shaped it and it was herat touching.
That was all about my visit to a fair at chandigarh with ny friends. We created lots of memories, taught us so much and where I got flashbacks from my childhood days. For the record all the pictures are taken by me with dji action camera. Hope you enjoyed reading.
Thank you so much for your time.
