How everybody is doing great.
Today's blog is going to be the last part about our rich culture and heritage. In my previous blogs I have shared as much information as I knew about our local cultural event and about the role different people plays in the inaugration and the roles goven by our higher power Gudaru Devta Maharaj g.
In this blog i'll share more details about the inauguration process and everything else linked to it.Please see the previous blog so that you find it easy to understand. Here's the link in case you missed it.
After the end of havan and after everybody took blessings from Maharaj g, the priest moved towards the temple and I thought ,he will ge inside the temple to do the rituals but i was shocked to see that he went on the roof temple. After him few other priest went there and they started the pooja or other rituals there.
They also tied a knot with these white and orange piece of clothes at the top of temple, which symbolize that the pooja has been done. And can you guess what happened next? All the priest Start to do pahadi dance there as finally the inauguration of the temple has been done. At the end of any rituals related to Maharaj g all the priest have to dance to express the gratitude and to show that everybody including the general public is happy with the work done.
After the priest started dancing , maharaj g came outside and here is a first picture of Maharaj g I have taken with my dji action camera. The part wear priest started dancing, was all witnessed by Maharaj g. You guy's must be wondering what exactly the structure of Maharaj is called - it's Palki of Gudaru Devta Maharaj g.
As I have mentioned in the previous blog , it's made up of Gold, Silver and Precious Stones. The pictures above shows a clear view of the Palki of Gudaru Devta Maharaj and if you see carefully you will notice the small details of carft work done on the Palki. Also this picture shows garland of notes on Maharaj g as I mentioned in my previous blog.
Most of the Palki of Gudaru Devta Maharaj is made of silver as you can see but there are some idols inside the palki and they are completely made up of gold. They can't be seen on everyday basis but in a year Maharaj g go for a holy bath twice, and during that time you can see these idols as every part of palki is kept open and you can take the blessings 🙏
Also you can see some people carrying the syllabus of Maharaj g, when ever Maharaj g stand all the symbols which we call 'chihn' also stand means get carried by the people and they walk along with the Maharaj. The picture above and below shows it all.
After the inauguration got completed, the priest came down and they all started dancing along with Maharaj g. And people here call this dance birsu- where a folklore is sung by the villagers and everybody dance. First Maharaj g, then priest and then the local public and villagers.
The lyrics are like -
Borme na jaye virsu, borme na jaye(2)
Gaye suyi panda raja bashtu duyi
Borme na jaye virsu ,borme na jaye.
Arter the birsu the Maharaj g stood at one place so that everyone can see him properly and take the blessings. There is a unique way of taking blessings when Maharaj g is standing, we have to go from one direction to another under him.
After the completion of inauguration, there was luch for everybody prepare by the gents of our village as Chaunri is our second village. To know more about second village go to part one. So that's all about the inauguration of temple at Chaunri,Himachal Pradesh India. I tried to bring something different, hope you enjoyed reading.
