Radhe Radhe Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well.
In this blog I'm going to share my experience of traveling in metro for the first time in Delhi. Recently I visited Delhi cause of some personal work and I had a whole day for myself to enjoy. Me and my friends deciced to visit Qutub Minar. The most iconic historical monument in Delhi, India which was built in 1193. I was excited to be there but I was more excited to travel in Delhi Metro.
I reached metro station from my hotel which was around 20 minutes away in an autorickshaw. These days it's different to travel in autos cause of the high temperature in delhi. But somehow I reached the metro station called Patel chowk metro station.
The very first thing you should keep in mind is to buy a token. If you need to travel once then you can buy token just like I did and if you stay in Delhi and need to take metro everyday then you should have Smart merto card. It's a rechargeable card and you can take multiple trips.
As I reached metro station,I saw huge crowd in front of me and there were people of different ages along with infants and childrens. Firstly we have to go through the security scan and then at the entry gate we have to tap our token. After the entry gate you will see platform indicators and they show the next arrival time of the train.
After wating there for 5 minutes behind the yellow line the train finally arrived and as I entered I saw some seats are reserved for ladies and some for senior citizens.
The metro was fully occupied and there was no seat so we covered all the distance till qutub minar which is approximately 20 minutes standing. Well for young boys it's not difficult but I have seen many senior citizens standing there as well and in the reserved seats, some students were sitting. I don't think it's right cause if seat is reserved you should respect that and move ahead.
In the picture above, you can see the huge standing crowd inside the metro. And if you are highly active in social media then you must have seen funny videos of people inside the metro. They do all sort of cring activities and dance to shoota real for themselves.
Finally our station came and we stepped out of it. Now again we have to take auto cause from here qutub minar is 15 minutes away. We were already sweeting and then we went on auto, haha wize decision btw. There were number of Autos in the open ground and every driver was trying best to get the customer.
The huge crowd in this area can be seen easily through the picture. And below is the picture of auto from the inside. All these pictures are taken by me with the help of my phone's camera , hope you are enjoying it as much as I'm enjoying while willing.
After 10 minutes we reached there and as soon as we started to enter the area, it felt more like chandigarh, there were parks everywhere and general all around.
I the pictures above you can see the greenery around and the takl trees. The whole area leading to Qutub Minar was nice and green. The mail reason is it's famous historical monument and attract lots of tourist from corners of the world.
Finally we reached and here we came to know that we have to buy token for ourselves and each token costs around 50 rupees.
This is the token we got now it's time to explore the city.As I reached near the entry gate I saw these huge posters showing Qutub minar and other pillars in it. It is visible in picture too. I was extremely excited to go inside and also it was around 5 in the evening so the sunrays are also not harmful. It was the perfect tim to explore the city. What time do you prefer?
In the picture above the tree is looking marvelous and the posters keep getting my attention. I couldn't wait more to go inside.
Then we finally reached the entry gate and here I saw huge crowd waiting in line for their turn to enter.
Well that's all about this blog and in my upcoming blogs I'll share more about it. Thank you for reaching and for the record all the pictures are taken by me with my phone.
Hope you enjoyed reading.
