Recently, with @outlinez and our friend went for a walk around the Dokuzak waterfall.
The waterfall is located in the Strandzha Mountain near city Malko Tarnovo, on the road to the small village Stoilovo.
Dokuzak is an extremely picturesque waterfall with a height of about 5 meters.
Translated from Turkish, its name means “nine springs”. The Dokuzak River collects the waters of the karst springs from the Malko Tarnovo Valley – Golemiat Vris, Malkiat Vris, Sushitsa, Bigorat, Byalata Voda and Devette Izvora. Along its length is the waterfall – the most water-bearing in the entire Strandzha.

In the area where the waterfall is located, natural deposits of Crimean tea have been discovered, which is why since 1991 the area has been declared protected.
It is spring now, the waterfall is full-flowing and all the nature around is in its bloom.

In addition to rocks covered with thick green moss, there are nettles, the plant ox-tongue, Medunitsa and other beautiful wild flowers in majestic colors.
Dokuzak River - full-flowing and filled with wonderful sounds.
There is also a beautiful old tree here, around which it is a real pleasure to walk and feel its power and energy.
Around the waterfall there are shelters and gazebos, which makes it a great place for a picnic.
A little further up the river there is a bridge and more turns with picnic areas. Walking there we met several fishermen.
