Dufan, or Fantasy World, in Ancol is one of the more expensive attractions, so I've only been there once, when it was still around IDR 200,000. Nowadays, Dufan's entrance fee has doubled, so I'm quite satisfied with just one visit. But when my family comes to visit Jakarta, Dufan is one of the many places they want to visit, so I willy nilly have to go there again. The ticket price is quite expensive, but this family moment is certainly unforgettable, so we had a great time there.
Let's get it!
Jakarta
Dufan is a very large amusement park. Just to enter it, you have to be willing to walk a very long distance. Because it's a weekday, Dufan looks deserted, but when you enter the gate, it's already crowded with people. This is because school children are still on holiday, so you see many people going there. But fortunately, the queue at the entrance is not long.

Children will be delighted to see this beautiful building, which boasts unique architecture. The entrance looks different from other playground entrances.
- Ontang Anting
The first ride I rode upon entering Dufan was the Ontang Anting. This is because it's the first ride you'll see when you pass through the entrance gate. After all, the Ontang Anting is a great introduction to relax before you're overwhelmed by the other extreme rides.

But the Ontang Anting wasn't as relaxing as I'd imagined. I started to feel dizzy during the first spin, maybe it was just age. But honestly, it was really fun once the ride started spinning. I felt a sense of relief in the rather hot weather.

Before moving on to the next ride, let's take a look around the entrance. This is a free space to enjoy the Dufan atmosphere, lined with typical Dutch houses that serve as museums. Visitors are free to sit in this area. There are plenty of trees in several corners, enough for shade.
This is the favorite spot for take a photo. It's big and cute.
- Komedi Putar
Another easy ride I rode as my second was the Carousel. Yes, this is indeed a favorite among children. Many musicians use this ride as a theme for their works. While it's not as challenging, trying the Carousel is an experience not to be missed.
Adults who ride this ride are those who want to reminisce about their childhood, and so was I.
This large gate is the boundary to the actual rides, the speed of which you can't underestimate. This is the true boundary of Dunia Fantasi. Here, you might get lost and wander around in circles, or all the rides might feel incredibly far away. Welcome to Dufan.
- ICE AGE Arctic Adventure
The third ride I entered was Ice Age Arctic Adventure. The first time I went to Dufan, I avoided water-related rides. This time, I didn't want to miss it, I wanted to ride the water-related rides instead, and Ice Age was the first one I tried out of the other water rides. But unfortunately, I spent a lot of time here because the queue was so long. Yes, it's a shame because the Ice Age ride is only for a short time. When you're inside, you're not allowed to take photos, but it's like you're sailing a river with Ace Age characters on the left and right. It's really exciting when the dinosaurs appear, it's like riding a roller coaster.
- Kora-Kora
After Ice Age, Kora-kora was the fourth ride of choice because it didn't have a long queue. I've been on this ride before, but I wanted to experience the feeling of feeling sick to your stomach again.
It does look fun being on a swinging boat, but apparently it makes you feel like you're going to fall from a height, I'm embarrassed to admit that I screamed, "Please stop. Stop. Stop!" and then after Kora-kora stopped, I threw up. It was fun, but that's the vibe. I'm sure you know how it feels.
- Histeria
I skipped this ride because I have ridden before and I'm still scared about it. It's scarier than Kora-Kora. I really don't want to ride it again. It's better I skip this ride and try others.
- Halilintar
It's roller coaster that I will not ride again because it's terrible for me. I m afraid, actually so I pass it then go to the water ride named Arum Jeram next Halilintar.
- Arum Jeram
This ride have long line, but I really curious how this ride, so I am in the line for two hours. It's kinda waste time but for the first time It's still okay. I try it!

This was a water ride I never imagined—just like that—not challenging enough, even though I had already spent two hours queuing. The river wasn't long enough. When you were there, you felt like you were being spun around, and there weren't many splashes, even though I had put on my raincoat just in case. If I had known there wouldn't be many splashes, I would have gotten really wet, because I would have hated taking off my raincoat.
- Giant Wheel
This is the last ride that I ridden because there's no long line. Although it was for a while ride because it's start to rain. After that all rides were stopped because rain would make a risk.
So that... It's my second experience in Dufan. It's okay if I can't be there again because first and second time is enough.
Hasta La Vista...
Thanks in advance, to read my blog and hope you like my post!

Hi, Halo, Annyeong! Welcome to my galaxy.
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of those are romance.
Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author, traveler wannabe, and blogger.
