When I lived in my hometown, I never knew that there was a big Aquarium. Although the shows on television had told me that we could see the sea animals in a dry state, I still had no interest in seeing it. After living in the capital for quite a while, I just became interested in witnessing the beauty of sea life even though it was only in an artificial aquarium. So this is my next journey in exploring Jakarta. Jakarta Safari Aquarium, let’s get it!
Jakarta Aquarium Safari
Jakarta Aquarium Safari is one of the big aquariums among many aquariums in Jakarta and its surroundings. I once stopped by one of the aquariums in Tangerang area because of a paid promote event, but I have never been to Jakarta Aquarium Safari, even though it is closer. Previously, I was very unfamiliar with this indoor tourist destination. Now I can compare them. But this time I only want to discuss Jakarta Aquarium Safari. Let's stroll around with me.

When you just enter the entrance area you will be greeted by a unique marine decoration. Many fishes flying in the sky, also a big turtle. Makes you feel like you are under the sea because all the decorations are identical to blue and the sea.
Then the first animal that will greet you is the Giant Grouper. This is an artificial ambush predator fish that is capable of swallowing its prey whole. It's huge isn't it...
Then you will be faced with dark corridors where on the left and right there are aquariums containing coral reefs and beautiful fish.

The decoration on the ceiling really caught my attention. In addition to the many fish decorations, there are also decorations that form the map of Indonesia. It is also used as a lamp. Very unique, isn't it?

Before entering the main area of Jakarta Aquarium, you will not only be shown sea creatures but also land animals that you may rarely see. There are chameleons, scorpions, snakes—I skip this area, lizards, turtles, birds and other land animals. Let's move on to the main star of Jakarta Aquarium.
The Stingray
For me, Stingrays are the star of every aquarium. That's because these large animals are rarely found on the surface, and their large size, like having wings, makes Stingrays one of the most interesting animals in this aquarium.
This aquarium is in the middle, very unique. The fish are also abundant. This aquarium like a magic tube.

The Jellyfish
This is my favorite. Jellyfish. When I first went to the Aquarium I didn't see jellyfish among the many sea animals. Luckily that wish was fulfilled in Jakarta Aquarium Safari. Look how beautiful these animals are when they gather. These jellyfish can even change color, following the decorative lights that cover them.
Pink Jellyfish remind me of Jellyfish in Spongebob animation...

Visiting an Aquarium as an adult is indeed very enjoyable. You seem to be hypnotized to return to childhood. To be honest, I really enjoyed being in the Jakarta Aquarium Safari. Although the entrance ticket is pricey, seeing marine animals up close is very satisfying. I look forward to another adventure in another Aquarium.
