There has been a lot going on in the past week, with ups and downs but doing everything to be consistent, staying positive, never ending learning to grow and improve myself.
Have been practicing regular stretching, light body training and around 10 minute meditation for over 14 days now, not daily but at least 5 days a week and I feel great!
This week has been busy full of activities, was determined to improve the quality with relationships with everyone around me, including myself. After finishing work hour or two earlier, went to pick up my mother and we took off on a road trip to a special place where we found a lot of blueberries. My mother loves picking them up ever since she remembers, it's one of her favorite hobbies and has been doing it for at least 60 years.
Can't believe that it is a month ago now since I took myself on an extended weekend, where I went camping for two days in Slovenian coast and then continued down to beautiful old Roman city Pula in Croatia where my main goal was to reach cape Kamenjak to jump off the well known cliff.
As I got down to the mighty Roman city Pula and got to know the city a little bit, I went to get more water, two apples and something to eat, got keys of my apartment I went to explore the well known cape Kamenjak that is mostly known about it's mighty cliff people jump off or even make stunts there.
Passed threw the main 'gate' with my car at around 15.00 and slowly started exploring the place, you get a map, a lot of signs for places on the road, the road is made out of fine white dust and rocks, lots of them that made it rough and a unique experience. Kind of the first real 4x4 terrain, with most respect going slowly with my 4motion Passat that is going strongly and staying very reliable.
The road got me straight down to the Kamenjak that is located in the tip of the cape or Rt Kamenjak as we Balkans call it. :)
The cars were covered in almost white dust, the sun was raging hot as the temperature was showing 35 degrees and I was well prepared to jump in the water.. Well kind of.
Got down there where I started seeing sign's 'danger of falling off' that's where I knew I'm at the right place. and there was the mighty cliff I was dreaming about for over 4 years. Unpacked everything and went straight in the water for a little swim and explore the water. Meanwhile people were jumping and making stunts off the cliff, there were about 6 points from where they jumped, from over 12 meters high to around 9m where it looked really sketchy and 6m from where I ended up jumping off with at least as much deep water under it.
While I was on the 12m part looking down after at least 10 minutes I decided that in past I did jump in the icy cold Soča in Slovenia, but back then I had many bad habits, wasn't sober and didn't have no real goals in life. While watching other people making stunts and back flips off the cliff I realized that this is their ikigai and that I had different goals set in life. Swimming is one of them, exploring under water and spending time out in the nature.
Still jumped off the 6m one as I did want to jump, but not from an extreme height to cope with my fear of height, fear of unknown, fear of uncertainty and fear of jumping in the water. After 4 jumps, a lot of swimming the time flew by really fast and decided to get back to the car and explore the rest of beautiful cape Kamenjak.
Feel honored to be the first to add a pin on the Pinmapple map, truly a beautiful, stunning, natural and clean location. :)
I did forget my charger and after three days of taking photos, finding the right routes on the road and taking photos my phone got to very low battery, took time to meditate in the middle of the rocks on other location before the beautiful sunset came and was time to pack everything and go back in the city, with quite a bad sunburn. But was all worth it, went to a local restaurant near my apartment to charge the phone, where I ate really good pizza with my favorite beer from Croatia called Karlovačko pivo.
Will definitely return to this magical place one day as I still got a lot to explore, much more places to see, there are also underwater caves around the cliffs, found out you can go in with a kajak as well with a tour guide.
The next and last day was focused on taking rest, hiding in shades and enjoying water early in the morning before sun came and burnt me even more. explored rest of beaches near Pula, have been resting threw the hot day and went on a short walk as the sun came down, before heading back home on Monday.
I really had an awesome time with myself, took time and focus to be in present moment, enjoy in little things, took time to be unplugged and for at least three days completely on airplane mode. It really was pleasent for my eyes to see the beauty of nature, explore new places, on my body as there was a lot of walking, even more swimming, diving and for my soul to fill up the energies. Can't wait for my next exploration or maybe even a little holidays. Hope you enjoyed walking with me.
Truly grateful to be healthy, that I started living healthier, that I can walk, talk, drive, think with my own head, value and hear myself, I feel blessed to be alive, able to travel, see, explore stunning places like these and that I love my job, my mother and myself.
Thank you very kindly for taking time to read, I wish you an awesome weekend, a good day or a good night and a good life!
