Bienvenidos Hivers, hoy les vengo a contar mi experiencia en la feria del libro en Argentina, y con el amor de mi vida. Viajamos hasta La Rural, donde se hace el evento, y entramos gratis gracias al pase de estudiantes. Ahí recorrimos casi todos los puestos viendo con muchas ganas cual llevarnos, ambos optamos por primero recorrer toda la feria y luego buscar lo que nos haya convencido más. Fuimos el dia jueves 24 de abril y que estará abierta sus puertas hasta el 12 de mayo para que puedan recorrer ese hermoso predio.
Welcome Hivers, today I'm here to tell you about my experience at the book fair in Argentina, with the love of my life. We traveled to La Rural, where the event is held, and got in for free thanks to the student pass. There, we browsed almost all the stands, eagerly considering which one to take home. We both decided to explore the entire fair first and then find the one we liked the most. We went on Thursday, April 24th, and the fair will be open until May 12th, so you can explore this beautiful venue.
Nos tomamos un descanso tomando mates viendo un poco los alrededores, mas a la izquierda donde no se ve en las imágenes se encuentran muchos edificios de empresas y oficinas que incluso a esa hora en la que nos encontrábamos seguían funcionando. El cielo estaba muy hermoso, y el clima ayudo mucho, ni tanto frio ni mucho menos calor, así que pudimos descansar muy bien y seguir recorriendo juntos. Ahí mi novia Sofia se llevó este libro de Slavoj Zizek "Incontinencia del vacío", es un autor que le compartir cuando la conocí, y desde entonces viene comprándose libros de el (ya que ella estudia psicología, y zizek, aunque filosofo, también psicoanalista, y tiene un pensamiento más que critico frente a las cosas que nos resulta insoportable en lo cotidiano, recomiendo que lean al autor.
We took a break drinking mate, exploring the surroundings. Further to the left, where you can't see them in the pictures, are many company and office buildings that were still operating even at the time we were there. The sky was beautiful, and the weather was very helpful—not too cold, not too hot—so we were able to rest well and continue exploring together. There, my girlfriend Sofia brought Slavoj Zizek's book, "Empty Incontinence." He's an author I shared with her when I met her. Since then, she's been buying books by him (since she studies psychology, and Zizek, although a philosopher, is also a psychoanalyst, and has a more than critical approach to the things we find unbearable in our daily lives, I recommend reading the author).
Por mi parte, pensé más en el futuro de mi carrera, y aunque también quería comprarme otro libro de Zizek, el autor anteriormente mencionado, me decidí por libros convencionales de psicoanálisis de Freud, encontré un puesto en donde había 3 libros por 20.000 pesos (20 USD mas o menos), y decidí llevarme 6, los cuales son los que mostrare a continuación:
For my part, I thought more about the future of my career, and although I also wanted to buy another book by Zizek, the aforementioned author, I decided on conventional books on Freud's psychoanalysis. I found a stand where there were 3 books for 20,000 pesos (about 20 USD), and I decided to take 6, which are the ones I will show below:
Estoy más que ansioso por comenzar a desarmar estos libros que conseguí. Estoy muy contento por haber compartido la feria del libro con mi novia, nos divertimos mucho, y espero que puedan asistir a esta feria, ya que es una gran oportunidad para buscar libros que querían y encontrar nuevos. También vimos un puesto donde se podía jugar ajedrez, tenía muchas ganas de ir, pero no nos alcanzó el tiempo (ya que los dos veníamos del trabajo y se nos estaba haciendo tarde). I'm beyond eager to start disassembling these books I got. I'm so glad I shared the book fair with my girlfriend; we had a lot of fun. I hope you can attend, as it's a great opportunity to look for books you've been wanting and find new ones. We also saw a booth where you could play chess.
