I think this is one of the most extreme things we have done after going to Las Cuevas del Pirata, and I am not used to hiking and this day our friend told us to go out to the river, what she did not know was that we were going to walk for miles and up and down several times the steep hills that were all the way, now we add to this adventure that the whole way there was covered with fog was much more extreme. Creo que está es una de las cosas más extremas que hemos hecho después de ir a Las Cuevas del Pirata, y es que no acostumbro a hacer senderismo y este día nuestra amiga nos dijo vamos a salir al río, lo que no sabía era que íbamos a caminar kilómetros y subir y bajar varias veces las colinas empinadas que había en todo el camino, ahora sí le sumamos a esta aventura que todo el camino de ida estuvo cubierto de neblina fué mucho más extremo. Acompáñame a ir desde la Azulita hasta San Rafael en el municipio Andrés Bello de Mérida.

During the whole trip our friend Fredthirsay was our guide, she knows this place from beginning to end, she told us that when she was little they used to hike with her uncles and that was their way of distraction, it is very interesting how the lifestyle of a person can change just by living in a different area of the country, I am not used to hiking and I did not feel prepared for this but we were able to get to the place that is a natural beauty.

Durante toda la travesía nuestra amiga Fredthirsay fue nuestra guía, ella conoce este lugar de comienzo a fin, ella nos contaba que de pequeños hacían excursiones con sus tíos y esa era su manera de distracción, es muy interesante como puede cambiar el estilo de vida de una persona solo por vivir en una zona diferente del país, yo no estoy acostumbrada a hacer senderismo y no me sentía preparada para esto pero pudimos llegar a el lugar que es una belleza natural.

I have to confess that my poor physical condition added to the altitude and the cold of the place made me always be last in the group, but it didn't matter because I went with my camera photographing the whole place.

Tengo que confesarles que mi mala condición física sumada a la altura y el frío del lugar me hacían quedar siempre última en el grupo, pero no importaba por qué yo iba con mi cámara fotografiando todo el lugar.

After walking for almost an hour we arrived half way, now we were touching land, we arrived to a ravine that looked like volcanic formations, it is said that this whole area was formed by volcanic eruptions, What an incredible thing, isn't it? Después de caminar casi una hora llegamos a mitad de camino, ahora sí tocaba tierra, llegamos a una quebrada que parecía como sí fueran formaciones volcánicas, es más se dice que todo está zona se formó de erupciones volcánicas, ¿Que increíble no?
