In other to talk about my values, let us first discuss what values mean in general. According to mindtool.com
Your values are the things that you believe are important in the way you live and work, They (should) determine your priorities, and, deep down, they're probably the measures you use to tell if your life is turning out the way you want it to.

In the actual sense, what we say out as our values are not what we really are but what we wish to become. When you talk about values we talk about what is really important to you, that you spend your time on. At the moment this post may be valuable to you that's why you spend your time reading it but while reading, you may be distracted by a call which is now more valuable to you than this post. I want you to understand the true meaning of value and a way for you to understand your values, most times we write the values of others as ours instead of looking to understand that which we really are.

Like the word priority comes in play, anything that we give priority to, that is considered our value. If you say you value hive and you don't put in your time in hive then there is no value there, value comes with action. Your action determines if you truly value something. Writing this post made me realize that through my actions I don't value some things I say I value, with this it is needed to put somethings right.
Como la palabra prioridad entra en juego, cualquier cosa a la que le demos prioridad se considera nuestro valor. Si dices que valoras la colmena y no inviertes tu tiempo en colmena, entonces no hay valor allí, el valor viene con la acción. Tu acción determina si realmente valoras algo. Escribir este post me hizo darme cuenta que a través de mis acciones no valoro algunas cosas que digo que valoro, con esto hay que corregir algunas cosas.

In most cases or instance our values fail, like when we spend our time chasing money and we experience a huge setback which causes great lose in our investment, we tend to blame the government or people around but what we should have done is to value money less and value our loved ones or people around us more, in this case when we experience financial loss it wouldn't cause us an emotional breakdown.

There are many things that we tend to value that we don't even realize that we do value them, normally like the topic asked what my values are. I would have stated that I value hive and my family but with what I have come to understand about values I now have quiet a list of things I value.
Hay muchas cosas que tendemos a valorar y que ni siquiera nos damos cuenta de que las valoramos, normalmente como en el tema que preguntamos cuáles son mis valores. Habría dicho que valoro a Hive ya mi familia, pero con lo que he llegado a entender sobre los valores, ahora tengo una lista tranquila de las cosas que valoro.

- I value affection in terms of my relationship
In this case I have to put more effort to show that I truly care and that everyone around me really matters to me, not just by saying it or thinking so to myself but by my actions and contributions towards their life.

- I value my health
As much as I tried to avoid stress last year, it still found me but I still try my best to take good care of my health. It really matters, if I refuse to care for my health but over work myself and if eventually I break down then its all a waste of time. The time I would spend taking drugs and lying down feeling sick, I prefer to use that time to enjoy myself, if you know what I mean. Haha

Por mucho que traté de evitar el estrés el año pasado, todavía me encontró, pero sigo haciendo todo lo posible para cuidar mi salud. Realmente importa, si me niego a cuidar mi salud pero me excedo en el trabajo y si finalmente me derrumbo, entonces es una pérdida de tiempo. El tiempo que pasaba tomando drogas y acostado sintiéndome mal, prefiero usar ese tiempo para divertirme, si sabes a qué me refiero. Jaja
- I value my safety
I sincerely value my safety, even though there are some crazy things like sky diving and some others I would love to try out when the opportunity comes but that will only be considered if all the safety measures are taken. Safety first as I was taught in my safety course.

- I value being useful to other people
I get uncomfortable when I don't contribute to others, I like being useful. I'm always happy to help out any way I can, it makes me feel happy and its even better if it's something I'm good at.

Me siento incómodo cuando no contribuyo con los demás, me gusta ser útil. Siempre estoy feliz de ayudar de cualquier manera que pueda, me hace sentir feliz y es aún mejor si es algo en lo que soy bueno.
- I value movies
Most people may say they value their job but they have a silent wish in their mind for a break in that job just to be able to have some time with the guys out to watch sports or play video games but for me it's movies. I value movies, any free time I get, I would jump at the opportunity to see a movie or two LOL.

La mayoría de las personas pueden decir que valoran su trabajo, pero tienen un deseo silencioso en su mente de un descanso en ese trabajo solo para poder pasar un tiempo con los chicos para ver deportes o jugar videojuegos, pero para mí son películas. Valoro las películas, en cualquier tiempo libre que tenga, aprovecho la oportunidad de ver una película o dos LOL.

If I don't value #hive, I wouldn't be writing this post at this moment and I wouldn't take my time to research on the topic for you to learn something from it. I value my worth, like what I can offer in terms of my occupation. I have done self evaluation and I have figured that there are some part I really need to work on and in due time, I will have put everything in place.
