There is a saying in the Yoruba language that a child who is grateful for yesterday's gift or blessing will get more tomorrow. For my journey on Hive which began on 2nd January 2021, there are amazing people behind it whom I want to appreciate.
In December 2020, @dreemsteem, the Chancellor of Uptrennd University (a blogging institute) put out the suggestion and encouraged some of us at the institute to join Hive. I did not waste time thinking too much because I was ready to expand my blogging coast. On 2nd January 2020, I took up the challenge and waddled through the 'complex' process of registering and opening an account on the Hive network! Yipee! Here I am. Thank you ma'am! You are amazing.
Then my journey on Hive began when @Shadows generously delegated some hive power to get me started! Woohoo! I was excited because I would not be constrained in my activities. Thank ma'am, you made my presence on hive worth it!
I couldn't complete this post without thanking the incorrigible (grouchy in a hilarious way, lol) human-bot @Penderis. The first time I interacted with him and saw his username, I assumed he was a bot for real but latter interactions showed he's not! Thank you for taking the time out of your 'pretend to work' schedule to walk me through the nitty-gritty of Hive. You have been very supportive.
I am also grateful to @jamerussell and @heyhaveyamet for the warm welcome to Hive. Immediately I popped in, he invited me over to join The Terminal, an amazing community of Hivers where I met @brittandjosie who never got tired of my questions about Hive. I still have many more and will not hesitate to ask! Thank you both for your support and encouragement.
I cannot fail to mention @melbourneswest for his ingenious idea to support newbies with 250 hp delegation via a weekly contest. I partook of this contest, my very first Hive contest, and I was chosen! I was super excited when I got the notification! I have ensured to drop at least a post per day, engage in various communities so as to make good use of this delegation before the two weeks is over. Thank you sir. Your generosity will certainly go a long way to help newbies.
My appreciation goes to @starstrings01 for organizing this contest and other initiatives to encourage newbies. I came into the Smile discord channel and there you are, being very helpful and supportive. Thank you.
To @BluefinStudios, I cannot thank you enough for supporting me with some hp delegation and SBI to keep me going on this platform. I appreciate you sir.
Finally. When you are new to a place, you might feel lonely. Well, I have not felt so because of these amazing fellas - @Salvadore and @Kenechukwu97. We joined Hive at almost the same time, moving within the same circles and you have stood by me. Thank you guys.
