The Hive Community was in utter shock this afternoon after well known Hive Dapp LeoFinance decided to throw caution to the wind and actually apply for DHF funding in a much thought out proposal that you can find here
Mouths remained ajar while reading the proposal as users scanned through their detailed proposal on how LeoFinance are going to try and attract 10k users to the platform.
"Some Hive users are rumoured to have fainted at this moment because it was getting all too much for them and became overwhelmed at the fact that a DHF proposal might actually finally bring actual users to the Hive platform."
"Finally a proposal that we can support that might actually have results at the end of it" claimed one user after he wiped himself down after being over awed after reading the post.
"They even went ahead and broke down their marketing strategy into proper sections and explained how they are going to use the funds down to the very dollar." claimed another source.
"This is unfathomable. I have never seen it on Hive before in my life," he went on.
Leofinance who have practically made a decentralised Twitter from scratch , built complex crypto bridges for HBD and Hive and introduced advertising revenue to create passive income for their community , all while self funded set out their goals on what they want to do with the modest DHF funding that they have applied for.
News travelled around Discord at speed that there was finally a DHF proposal that did not look like a bank run on HBD. Maybe this one could actually really attract users to the Community which , lets be honest, is on its knees with the userbase decreasing day by day.
But some Hive stalwarts are saying bringing users to the platform cannot be done. They tried everything. EVERYTHING. You name it. They have tried it.
"The Venezuelan Contingency fought a brave battle with their Hive DHF funding but that 50,000 HBD only attracted 3 users to the platform who in the end didn't have a pot to piss in and are still trying to get to 15 HP to reply to comments." claimed a very happy South American hive crypto event organiser who was donning a lovely new Louis Vutton handbag.
"We tried everything clamed the lovely lady." "We purchased a couple of tshirts, bought a banner, bought pens with Hive logos, made digital stickers and still no uptake. What more could we have done for @deepcrypto8 ...... ahem I mean Hive.. yes I mean Hive" she smiled.
Reports suggest there were 3516 crypto conferences in Caracus in 2022 such was the demand so the message is Hive diluted somewhat.
The team over at Valueplan are equally as cautious. We spoke to one source in the swanky offices of the Valueplan cartel who control pretty much the majority of DHF funding given out 2023 so far. See @dalz graph below from one of his many excellent posts.
"Hey dude, I like the Leo proposal and all but woahhhh it seems like lots of work man. Are you sure they can pull it off??"
"Well they have pulled off an awful lots already." "See their proposal explaining what they have done." replied our reporter.
[KNOCK ON DOOR]
"Come in"
"Excuse me sir. [BOWS REPEATEDLY WHILE WALKING IN]
"What's up now Jeeves? I'm in the middle of my low fat caramel macchiato and interview with the Hive Gazette "
"Rally car guy is on the phone again sir."
"He is now looking for a new tyres for the rally car we purchased him. He says it cost 8000 HBD but we may as well buy 3 more tyres as no point having only 1 new one. He needs a new seat as well so if we round it up to 10,000 HBD but multiply it by 4 then he should be fine for the next race. He said thanks though and it's a dream come true for him......"
"Yeah yeah whatever Trevor blah dee blah dee blah. Tell him I'm busy Jeeves ffs, He is bleeding the funds dry. Worst decision ever since trusting Ned Scott."
" and Jeeves can you find out how many users did the rally car signup? I need it for my next Valueplan post"
"It's hard to gauge sir,He did sign up his wingman and a couple of mechanics. They do go extremely fast so the Hive logos are a bit hard to actually sign up volumes of users unless they win of course."
"Where did they come in their last race?"
"Last."
"Oh OK, well they can only do better then Jeeves isn't that one way to look at it."
"Wise words sir"
"Get the camera crew to fly to where ever they are again to give them more exposure."
"Indeed sir."
"Oh one last thing sir and that accident prone Hive gym street guy called as well sir. He needs 1000 more HBD as a crocodile ate his laptop."
"WTF?? Is that the new laptop we got him last year after the old one was lost in the freak flood??"
"Ammm yes sir."
"This guy eh"
"Ffs Jeeves I didn't even know there was crocodiles where he is. Does he not live by the beach in a city opposed to a swampy suburb?? Who would have thought?? That's knarly."
"That is not the end sir, there is more."
"The young man then tried to retrieve his laptop from the prehistoric beast and ended up losing a finger. He wants us to pick up the medical tab again like we did last year as he was on the way to an event sir."
"Jesus Jeeves how unlucky is this guy?? Fucking floods, checkpoint shootouts, injuries, and now a crocodile. Jeeny Mac Jeeves!!! What's next??? How many HP does this guy have?"
"0 sir."
"How am I going to explain this in the next Valueplan post?? "We are getting enough heat from @doze as it is for being majorly flaithiúlach with the funds!! "
"Does Steady Neddy have those new stickers ready?"
"Yes sir."
"OK they look cool so transfer him 20,000 HBD."
"I seriously don't know how Khal and the team are gonna pull this off man. It's never gonna work mannnn , look what we are dealing with."
"Anyway get one of our lackies to leave a comment. Tell them to be supportive yet cautious around giving funds to "Dapps".
"We don't want to start a DHF war of such."
"Forget all that, what do you think of this view my reporter friend. Isn't life beautiful?"
There has been others in Hive Dev's clinical about the proposal as well. @pythonjohnny who has been funded 300 HBD per day to do the following is also weary about the proposal :
Implementing a distributed system using a consensus algorithm like Paxos or Raft enables fault tolerance across network partitions. In the context of microservices architecture, leveraging containerization through tools like Docker and orchestrating with Kubernetes ensures scalability and efficient resource utilization. Coupled with a CI/CD pipeline that employs Jenkins or GitLab CI for automated testing and deployment, the system adheres to DevOps methodologies for continuous integration.
"I am not sure about their proposal." claims @pythonjohnny
"It's too basic." There are no complex technical jargon or descriptions that look fantastic in a proposal but achieve fuck all at the end of the day like most of the other proposals." I really don't get it. "If we support the likes of Leo bloody Finance then who is next eh???" Genesis League?? Sure don't them scam themselves!!
The DHF proposals are for geeks and nerds like me to earn money as a side hustle with no questions asked because our projects are too complicated for their little pee brains writing their little posts about a ladybird they saw on a walk. "
"Look at me." I got funded for the above changing the font on Hive key wallet once and I still get paid 300 HBD per day to do it after I sweet talked a couple of whales into believing it was something more substantial.
So what I do is throw the funds into HBD savings for the year and if I am found out I will just give back the principal and pocket the 20% interest. Easy peezy lemon squeezy." "I'm gonna give my support but ask a few technical questions so not to let them off the hook too easily. We don't wanna be getting into a DHF war with our current gravy train as Leofinance is the crypto community so we don't want a couple of the intelligent ones especially in also the STEM community or the self improvement community to cotton onto us. Just support it and keep my head down."
Leofinance is currently 74% approved for the proposal so it will be interesting to see in the coming days whether the proposal will go through. We at the Hive Gazette wish the team the best of luck in their solemn goal to bring more users to the platform. Knowing me Charles McGarnacle knowing you the Hive Community.
