Greetings
Welcome to the newest Comedy Open Mic newsletter. Today we will make some clarifications regarding the rules for the contest and the COMmunity when it comes to posts.
But, first, let's talk about our collaboration with @hiq.magazine / @hiq.
The cover of their latest issue
HIQS Stands For HiQ Shares.
The token was founded by Team HiQuarters 2.0 and is primarily used to support HiQ - The Hivestyle Magazine.
HiQ - The Hivestyle Magazine is a satirical infotainment magazine, which journalistically investigates Hive and the projects on Hive. They are for the community and at the same time from the community.
The nice people from HiQ were generous enough to sponsor our weekly showcase which will be posted from this account starting Sunday. They will be rewarding posts highlighted in the showcase with 5 HIQS per entry for two weeks.
Check out their monthly magazine @hiq.magazine where they will have amazing content with an upcoming announcement for a comedy contest of theirs.
Also, check out @hiq.redaktion where they make a weekly report on what is currently going on in the editors' meetings.
We would like to thank the good people at @hiq for their support of this COMmunity
Now, for the second matter at hand.
COMmunity Rules
There seems to be some confusion regarding the rules in the community as we have been running into a few problematic posts plus a few questions.
First, let's start with the COMmunity rules:
1- No posts under 200 words. Lazy posts will not be promoted.
2- Abuse or bullying will not be tolerated
3- No plagiarism is allowed, all posts must be 100% original
4- Your posts must be humorous
5- All posts must be in English or at least have an English translation
We have caught a few plagiarising posts in the past. It should be noted that checking each post for plagiarism takes a lot of time. Therefore, we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to plagiarism. Once you are caught, you will be blacklisted, reported, and banned permanently.
The second clarification we need to make comes regarding the number of posts per person. We have absolutely no rules regarding that, you can post every day if you'd like granted you follow the rules and don't attempt to abuse the system.
We read every post thoroughly and check every post for plagiarism. We also know the difference between actual humorous posts and just "nice" or "wholesome" ones.
Any posts not falling within the categories we mentioned will be muted and even downvoted if necessary as they also jeopardize the posts worth rewarding.
That's it for this week's newsletter. There are some future plans which will be announced in next week's Newsletter.
