Happy new week!
Last week, I read @wongi's post about her encounter with thunder struck and that experience took me back to the experiences I had when I was living with my family at Villa.

But first of all,
I've heard a lot of people talk and overlook thunder struck as a mere occurrence which is understandable to some extent based on the scientific proofs, but where I came from, thunderstorms are spiritually inclined.
It's well noted that whenever a thunder strikes, it's either sent by an evil man in the community against someone or it was sent by God to do some corrections on earth🤭.
More also, whenever this thunder is released, the lightening sweeps a lot of things on the way, especially the things that are attractive to it, e.g, glasses and lights in any form at all.
So, that's how we grew up to meet the standard measures of staying safe from thunderstorm whenever it's raining and they're as follows;
- Do not watch TV whenever it's raining
In my house, you don't dare to watch TV whenever it's raining. "Like what?!, What if a thunder strikes? You want to blow up the TV?", my dad would lament on these words.
Mehn! Whenever it's about to rain and there's electricity, we make sure we turn off the TV because we don't want to draw the 'passing' thunder 😁 to the house.
I remember a time when we decided to prove "strong head" by watching a movie when it's raining. We began the movie when the weather was very okay but towards the most interesting part of the movie, the whether changed and began to rain. So we deliberately refused to turn off the movie, afterall my dad went to farm and there's no way he would come back under the rain.
To our surprise, my dad appeared like a ghost, we didn't hear the sound of his bike, we just saw him entered the living room with his clothes wet, jeeeez! You should know the end of that story🤗.
The shocking part is that, this act is not only in my home villa but also applicable to some set of people in the city.
Where I recently worked, our manager doesn't allow TV's to be switched on whenever it's raining 🙈
- Use a piece of clothe to cover the TV
In every home, there's a particular pattern of clothe that they use to cover the screen of the TV when not in use.
Whenever it's raining, it's a first hand law to get that piece of clothe and cover the screen of the TV, otherwise you're looking for trouble.
In my home then, my junior siblings were in charge of that, you don't remind them to do it, infact ordinary drizzles attract that movement.
It'll amaze you to know that, each time I visits home till today and it's raining, I'll pick up the piece of clothe and cover the TV because it's governing law there in our house🙈.
- You don't dare to press your phone whenever it's raining and lightening
At this point, my dad would seize our phones and returns them back when the rain stops. He feels like we'll be inviting the lightening via the rays of our phones.
When we grew up to a certain stage and had gotten our own room in the compound, whenever it's raining, all my siblings relocate from the dad's sight to cruise in our rooms. My dad would notice it and he step in to collect the phones.
At the moment of typing this, it's raining heavily coupled with thunderstorms. The lightenings are so thick & scary and were flashing heavily through the windows.
Maybe it's the light from my phone that's drawing the light to my room🤣.
I have to drop here it. Precaution is good.
