Nerd By Northwest #301 – “A 'Leap' in Plausibility”

And yet another classic TV show reference! I would be open to using quality TV references that are more current... the only problem is I live in Mongolia, and apart from Netflix I don't see any current shows popular in America or the West in general. Well that, and I suspect most of the broadcast TV nowadays is crap and damn far from anything resembling quality anyway. 😉
For some of my non-American readers who never had the pleasure of seeing it, the show being referenced is "Quantum Leap". It was a rather creative sci-fi/comedy/drama that featured a physicist who through an accident had his consciousness hopping into various bodies throughout the 20th century, trying to alter events to create better outcomes for the people & places involved. His only help through this was his friend Al, who was projected to him from his home time-line as a hologram (one that only he can see and hear) by their AI super-computer Ziggy. Al had a proclivity towards womanizing, smart-ass remarks, and outlandish clothing (all the more interesting given he was a U.S. Navy Admiral). Being an alien, Roscoe is probably not gonna be much for the first, but he'll more than make up with it on the clothes and smart-ass commentary...
