This was the first fishies of May this year. We headed up to spot called Monterey Lake, named after (or before?) the nearby town. It's country, back in the woods and you got a fight the foliage to find a decent spot to cast. Less you just wanna stay by the road and drop a line off the bridge.

Which is how @b34w0lf reeled in that frigenay crappie! Not pronounced CRAP PEE, it's KRAW PEE. It is odd, since we go after LMBs! There is the occasional oddball though, and it's the first white one he's ever caught so kudos on that my boy.

Really like that shot though. Looks almost like there is a cloud halo around him. And you know I pulled some bass. Not huge, but edible. Fun either way and REMEMBER, there's always a bigger fish.
