Was about a week later, I was able to stencil in some time between the busy Hive hiway, parenting and other life instances, to get my lure wet again.
I am facing west in the first graphic, it was about an hour before the sun was starting to set and the reflection was captivating.
I ended up having very minor success on this brief outing. It was more of a hike around the backside of the lake near the dance hall than anything. But, it was one I brought my fishing rod along with to test the waters.
Spawn was coming soon and the fish seemed to be more interested in finding a good place to have their eggs and put up their defenses to guard them. However, the young inexperienced males, that had no girlfriends, fell prey easily to what has been quickly becoming a go-to for me this spring. The Googan craws.
No lie, every time I have used one of these particular lures, I have caught at least something. The purple and green with the sparkles mixed in must trigger a severe reaction in the fish.

As you can see from the size of the mouth on the bass in comparison to my thumb and the bait, you can tell it's just a tiny teenage angsty one. But, I would not have starved and #mysterytacklebox provided the reason why. It's a good thing I REMEMBER, there's always a bigger fish.
