In the hero city of Okhtyrka, rescuers are working on emergency and recovery efforts.
On April 25, a joint detachment of the Interregional Rapid Response Center of Ukraine's SES arrived in Okhtyrka, Sumy region, with 23 employees and four pieces of equipment to carry out restoration operations.
Battles raged from the first day of the large-scale attack near Okhtyrka. The city was under siege, and the enemy expended nearly the whole stockpile of munitions against its defenders. The village was severely devastated as a result of the bombardment. The thermal power plant, in particular, which provided energy and heat to Okhtyrka's businesses and citizens.
On this most essential and hardest portion of the city, specialists - high-altitude workers from the Sumy area - began emergency and recovery operations. The project is presently under progress.

25 квітня в Охтирку Сумської області прибув об’єднаний загін Міжрегіонального центру швидкого реагування ДСНС України у складі 23 співробітників та чотирьох одиниць техніки для проведення відновлювальних робіт.
З першого дня масштабної атаки під Охтиркою точилися бої. Місто було в облозі, і ворог витратив на його захисників майже весь запас боєприпасів. Внаслідок обстрілів село було сильно зруйноване. Зокрема, теплоелектростанція, яка забезпечувала енергією та теплом підприємства та громадян Охтирки.
На цій найважливішій та найважчій ділянці міста фахівці – висотники із Сумської області – розпочали аварійно-відновлювальні роботи. Наразі проект триває.
