Si algo valoro en estos tiempos en Venezuela es la creación de espacios para el deporte, recreación y socialización. Otra cosa que valoro y considero muy beneficioso es la cercanía o el acceso a estos espacios. Prácticamente, cada comunidad cuenta con parques, canchas, máquinas para hacer ejercicios, miradores, pistas, entre otros.
Ayer domingo, a eso de las cinco de la tarde, invité a mi nieto a pasear. Se me ocurrió llegar hasta el paseo Josefa Camejo, recién inaugurado. Aún no está cien por cierto operativo, pero algunas instalaciones pueden usarse. En comparación con otros parques este es pequeño, aún así no deja de ser cómodo.
Como pueden notar, el espacio preferido por los niños es ese rectángulo relleno de arena de playa. Niños y niñas disfrutan descalzos o en medias. Se entierran, se bañan, arman castillos, pistas, juegan pelota, aman lanzarse sin importarles la caída. El espacio se presta para socializar, intercambiar ideas y poner en marcha su creatividad.
Me causó gracia la conversación de los niños. Desde lejos escuchaba nombres de sus personajes favoritos y simulaban ser uno de ellos. Calculo que el promedio de edades entre los presentes era de siete años. Para mí, eso indica que podían relacionarse muy bien.

If there is something I value in these times in Venezuela, it is the creation of spaces for sports, recreation and socialization. Another thing I value and consider very beneficial is the proximity or access to these spaces. Practically every community has parks, courts, exercise machines, gazebos, tracks, among others.
Yesterday, Sunday, at about five o'clock in the afternoon, I invited my grandson to go for a walk. It occurred to me to go to the Josefa Camejo promenade, recently inaugurated. It is not yet one hundred percent operational, but some of the facilities can be used. Compared to other parks, this one is small, but still comfortable.
As you can see, the children's favorite space is that rectangle filled with beach sand. Boys and girls enjoy barefoot or in socks. They bury themselves, bathe, build castles, runways, play ball, and love to throw themselves without worrying about falling. The space lends itself to socializing, exchanging ideas and getting their creativity going.
I was amused by the children's conversation. From afar I could hear the names of their favorite characters and they pretended to be one of them. I estimate that the average age of those present was seven years old. To me, that indicates that they could relate very well.
Noto que, a pesar de estar jubilada, no dejo de actuar como docente je,je,je. Pero es mi deseo seguir conociendo patrones de conducta de los niños en diferentes etapas y tiempos. En este promedio de edades, la socialización espontánea surge con facilidad. Este promedio favorece la interacción sin imposición de reglas por parte de los adultos. El juego colectivo predomina y representa un punto importante para su desarrollo.
Zaid tiene cinco años. A pesar de demostrar habilidades para muchas cosas, le cuesta integrarse y socializar. Cuando entró a la arena, se aisló, solo conversaba conmigo. El niño más cercano a él lo miraba; sin embargo, Zaid repetía que el niño no quería jugar con él. Es decir, siempre estuvo predispuesto. Pienso que Zaid, frente a esa disposición puede estar manifestando baja autoestima, timidez o simplemente prefiere observar antes de integrarse. Son muchos puntos que quizá no pudiese explicara pero me gusta, como dije anteriormente, explorar con los niños y en este caso con mi nieto.

I notice that, despite being retired, I do not stop acting as a teacher heh,heh,heh. But it is my desire to continue to learn about children's behavior patterns at different stages and times. At this average age, spontaneous socialization comes easily. This average favors interaction without imposition of rules by adults. Collective play predominates and represents an important point for their development.
Zaid is five years old. Despite demonstrating abilities for many things, he finds it difficult to integrate and socialize. When he entered the arena, he isolated himself, talking only with me. The boy closest to him looked at him; however, Zaid repeated that the boy did not want to play with him. That is to say, he was always predisposed. I think that Zaid, faced with this disposition, may be showing low self-esteem, shyness or simply prefers to observe before integrating. There are many points that perhaps I could not explain but I like, as I said before, to explore with children and in this case with my grandson.
Hay etapas claves en el proceso de desarrollo. A los siete años, los niños están en plena transición entre la primera infancia y la niñez media. Zaid cumple seis años en noviembre pero está en proceso de transición, este año inicia primer grado. Aunque, a mi parecer, no debería pero el sistema así lo plantea.
Fueron dos horas de pura diversión, escucha, entretenimiento y aprendizajes. Recomiendo este tipo de espacio para los niños y sus familias. Son muchas las habilidades y destrezas que nuestros pequeños pueden desarrollar durante sus procesos. Fue bonito ver familias; papás y mamá junto a sus hijos incluso, revolcándose sobre la arena.

There are key stages in the developmental process. At age seven, children are in the midst of the transition from early childhood to middle childhood. Zaid will be six in November but he is in the process of transition; this year he starts first grade. Although, in my opinion, he shouldn't be, but that's the way the system is set up.
It was two hours of pure fun, listening, entertainment and learning. I recommend this type of space for children and their families. There are many skills and abilities that our children can develop during their processes. It was nice to see families; moms and dads with their children even rolling in the sand.
