It was yesterday, It was yesterday... (En/ Es)

As the title of this post says, yesterday was the formal awarding of my younger daughter's high school diploma. It was a day full of emotions and feelings, not only for her but for the whole family, because it was a day eagerly awaited by everyone, as it marked the culmination of another stage of her student life, opening up another stage, the university one.

The day began very early, full of preparations, anxiety, nerves, and expectations about how the entire ceremonial act would be. The ceremony took place in the amphitheater section of the school, as this is a school with two educational environments, offering both primary and secondary education; from the moment we entered, everything was well organized and set up with the purpose of pleasantly surprising the new graduates, and although simple, everything was well arranged for the occasion.

The entire event was filled with smiles and tears of joy from the students, family members, and friends. Each boy who came up to receive his diploma was cheered and applauded by everyone, and of course, the parents were happy. More than one person shed tears in those moments, and I was no exception. After this magical moment, the whole family went to celebrate our girl's achievement.

For that, we went to a beautiful terrace located in one of the prettiest hotels in the city. There, we shared a delicious meal, made our respective toasts, and even saw the visit of a beautiful macaw that came to dine at the place, as the entire site was outdoors and from where we could see a large part of the city. We loved that, apart from the food and the good service. We were all happy: my newly graduated daughter, my eldest daughter, my youngest son, and my husband.

At the end, we went home, tired but with the feeling of a goal accomplished and of course very proud of our girl, who graduated with excellent grades and average. It was a very special day, worthy of keeping in our memories, so I'm sharing it with you here as well, best regards!

Tal como dice el título de este post, ayer fue la entrega formal del título de bachiller de mi hija menor. Fue un día lleno de emociones y sentimientos, no solamente para ella sino para toda la familia, porque fue un día muy esperado por todos, ya que fue la culminación de una etapa más de su vida estudiantil, aperturando otra etapa, la universitaria.

El día comenzó muy temprano, lleno de preparativos, de ansiedad, nervios y de expectativas acerca de cómo sería todo el acto protocolar. El acto se dio en la parte del anfiteatro de la escuela, ya que este es un colegio de dos ambientes educativos, porque imparten estudios de primaria y secundaria; desde que entramos todo estaba bien organizado y ambientado con el propósito de sorprender gratamente a los nuevos graduandos y que aunque sencillo, todo estuvo bien dispuesto para la ocasión.

Todo el acto estuvo repleto de sonrisas, lágrimas de emoción de parte de los estudiantes, familiares y amigos. Cada muchacho que pasaba a recibir su título era vitoreado, aplaudido por todos y, por supuesto, los padres estábamos felices. Más de uno derramó sus lágrimas en esos momentos y yo no fui la excepción. Después de este momento mágico, toda la familia nos fuimos a celebrar este logro de nuestra niña.

Para ello, nos fuimos a una hermosa terraza ubicada en uno de los hoteles más lindos de la ciudad. Allí compartimos una rica comida, hicimos nuestro respectivo brindis y hasta vimos la visita de una hermosa guacamaya que fue a cenar al lugar, pues todo el sitio estaba al aire libre y desde donde se podía ver gran parte de la ciudad, eso nos encantó aparte de la comida y el buen servicio, todos estábamos felices, mi hija recién graduada, mi hija mayor, mi hijo menor y mi esposo.

Al terminar, nos fuimos a nuestra casa, cansados, pero con el sentimiento de la meta cumplida y por supuesto muy orgullosos de nuestra niña, quien se graduó con excelentes clasificaciones y promedio. Fue un día muy especial, digno de guardar en nuestros recuerdos, por eso se los comparo por aquí tambien, saludos!
