Today I want to make a small contribution to the community that's a bit different from what I usually write about. It's simple, but I'm sure it will be useful to some moms. I was thinking of publishing it in a tech community, but I think it will be more beneficial here. Now that the school year is ending in my country, we receive report cards where we can see the areas our children need to improve in. This tool will also be very useful for those mothers whose children are still in classes because they are part of a different school system.

Hoy quiero hacer un pequeño aporte a la comunidad un tanto distinto a los que acostumbro a escribir, es algo sencillo pero seguro a alguna mamá le será de utilidad, pensaba publicarlo en una comunidad sobre tecnología pero acá creo que será de mayor provecho. Ahora que culmina el año escolar en mi país, recibimos el boletín de calificaciones donde podemos conocer la áreas en la que nuestros hijos deben mejorar, también está herramienta será muy útil para aquellas madres cuyos hijos aún están en clases por ser parte de un sistema escolar diferente.

Aunque parece sencillo, no siempre tenemos el tiempo o la creatividad para colocar actividades en la que nuestros hijos puedan practicar, sumas, restas, divisiones, multiplicación, lectura, caligrafía, etc. En especial en el área de matemáticas donde hay que tener cuidado que los ejercicios den resultados exactos o acorde a lo que están estudiando los niños. Se trata del sitio web Kiddo worksheets el cual es gratuito y podemos obtener imprimibles de actividades desde primer a quinto grado, como:

It worked very well for me to help my daughter with divisions. Since the site is only in English, only the math section was useful to me as my daughter only speaks Spanish. However, since she's been learning English at school, I was also able to use some activities for her to learn the English alphabet and some words she needed to practice for her final project in that subject.
A mi me funciono muy bien para ayudar a mi hija con las divisiones, ya que el sitio está solo en ingles, me ha sido útil nada mas la parte de matemáticas ya que mi hija solo habla español, pero como ha estado aprendiendo inglés en el colegio también pude utilizar algunas actividades para que aprendiera el alfabeto en ingles y algunas palabras que necesitaba práctica para el proyecto final de esa asignatura.
The process to get an activity sheet is quite simple. First, you select the area in the top bar. A menu will appear where you select the type of exercises you need, for example, in math, whether you need addition, subtraction, division, or multiplication.
El proceso para obtener una hoja de actividades es bastante sencillo, primero seleccionas el área en la barra superior, se despliega un menú donde seleccionas que tipo de ejercicios necesitas, por ejemplo, en matemáticas si necesitas suma, resta division o multiplicacion.
Then, the settings will appear where you'll define the characteristics of the exercises. In my case, they are divisions, and I want them with two-digit divisors. An important detail is that you can also print a sheet with the results for yourself when you're going to correct them.

I think it's a great free tool to help us reinforce our children's skills with activities. If you can't print, it still serves to generate ideas for activities that you can then write on paper yourself.
