The first week of classes has been a real challenge for everyone. Enthusiasm and joy, mixed with fear, sleep and all that mixture of emotions that a three-year-old child can go through, a schedule to meet and many habits to recover, have made this return to classes a quite emotional week, but it's already over, and here I come to tell you with great enthusiasm how we got through it.
La primera semana de clases, ha significado un verdadero reto para todos. Entusiasmo y alegría, mezclado con temor, sueño y toda esa mezcla de emociones por la que puede pasar un niño de tres años, un horario que cumplir y muchos hábitos que recuperar, han convertido este regreso a clases en una semana bastante emocional, pero ya termino, y aquí vengo a contarles con mucho entusiasmo como salimos librada de ella.

On October 2nd, Angel started his second level of preschool education. As a mother, I couldn't help but be excited to know that my little one was taking another step in his education. Every day he is getting bigger and full of understanding.
As I mentioned in my previous post, one of the things that worried me was being able to wake him up on time. However, that day he woke up a little earlier than expected, but only to ask me if he should go to class and if he could sleep a little longer. It was still early, so I gave him a big hug and helped him sleep a few more minutes while I prepared his breakfast.
A few minutes later he woke up, ready to go. I fixed him up and, with his uniform already on, his face began to change. He looked nervous and worried. I told him many times that I would pick him up early, that the school is very pretty and fun and that everything would be alright.
El pasado 02 de octubre. Angel inicio su segundo nivel de educación preescolar, como madre, no pude dejar de emocionarme al saber que mi pequeño escalo un nivel más en su educación, cada día está más grande y lleno de entendimiento.
Como mencione en mi anterior post, una de las cosas que me preocupan era lograr despertarlo a tiempo, sin embargo, ese día despertó un poco antes de lo previsto, pero solo para preguntarme si debía ir a clases y si podía dormir otro rato. Aún era temprano, así que le di un gran abrazo y lo ayude a dormir unos minutos más, mientras tanto preparaba su desayuno.
Unos minutos después se despertó dispuesto, lo arreglé y ya con el uniforme puesto, su carita comenzó a cambiar, se notaba nervioso y preocupado, le dije muchas veces que lo buscaría temprano, que la escuela es muy bonita y divertida y que todo estaría bien.
When we got to school, we were invited to the sports court and the director introduced us to all the staff and the different teachers. Then we went to the classroom and she saw how beautiful her new classroom was, she said goodbye to me and spent the morning quite calm. This week, because it is adaptation, his schedule was from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
When I went to pick him up, he was very happy, but guess what, he was expecting a prize when he got home, for going to school. As for this, I plead guilty, because last year, on some occasions, I rewarded him with cookies, surprise eggs or some candy, when he came back from class. But this time he was demanding it and I realized that it could become a problem if he gets used to this completely.
Fortunately, this day I had to please him and I spent the afternoon singing and very happy.
Al llegar a la escuela, nos invitaron a la cancha deportiva y la directora, presento a todo el personal y a las distintas profesoras. Después pasamos al aula y se dio cuenta de lo hermoso que estaba su nuevo salón, se despidió de mí y paso la mañana bastante tranquilo. Esta semana, por ser de adaptación, su horario fue de 8:00 am hasta las 11:00 am.
Cuando fui a buscarlo, estaba muy feliz, pero adivinen que, esperaba un premio al regresar a casa, por ir a la escuela. En cuanto a esto, me declaro culpable, porque resulta que el año pasado, en algunas ocasiones, lo premie con galletas, huevos sorpresas o alguna golosina, al volver de clases. Pero esta vez, él lo estaba exigiendo y me di cuenta de que podría llegar a ser un problema, si se acostumbra a esto por completo.
Afortunadamente, este día tenía como complacerlo y paso toda la tarde cantando y muy feliz.

It seems like my son is sad in his pictures and I really don't like seeing him that way, but it's not sadness, it's that for a few months now he's been having problems with his eyes, redness, maybe allergies, we don't know yet, because no treatment has been effective, he has an appointment next Thursday and we hope that this consultation will bring good news and the right solution. This week, he was a few days with his eyes red and of course this influenced his mood, especially because we had to apply drops and it's something that bothers him a lot.
Waking him up at night, to apply treatment every four hours, made it more difficult to wake him up in the morning, and as expected, he did not wake up with a good attitude, so we had to work much harder, to change his attitude and get to class on time.
But despite that, when he got to the classroom, he was happy and in a good mood to participate in all his activities, he was always happy when I looked for him and yes, all this week he was waiting for something when he got home.
Pareciera que mi hijo está triste en sus fotos y de verdad no me gusta verlo así, pero no es tristeza, es que él desde hace unos meses está presentando problemas en sus ojos, enrojecimiento, tal vez alergia, no sabemos aún, porque ningún tratamiento ha sido efectivo, tiene cita el próximo jueves y esperamos que esta consulta traiga buenas noticias y la solución adecuada. Esta semana, estuvo unos días con sus ojos rojos y por supuesto que esto influyo en su estado de ánimo, especialmente porque debimos aplicarle gotas y es algo que le molesta mucho.
Despertarlo por las noches, para aplicarle tratamiento cada cuatro horas, hacía que despertarlo en la mañana fuese más difícil, y como era de esperarse, no despertaba con buena actitud, así que tuvimos que esforzarnos mucho más, para lograr cambiar su actitud y llegar a tiempo a clases.
Pero a pesar de eso, al llegar al salón, quedaba contento y estaba de buen ánimo para participar en todas sus actividades, siempre estaba contento cuando lo buscaba y sí, toda esta semana esperaba algo al llegar a casa.

Preschool is a wonderful stage, games, songs, fun, many activities with purpose that children love. My son, he loves stories and this is always an activity that he enjoys a lot. Also singing and dancing.
This week, there was a special day, the day when the children took their favorite toy to the living room and spent the whole day playing on the court, with their toys, sharing with other children.
Angel and my niece Camila, took their skateboard and had an incredible time, also that day they were given a rice with chicken at lunch that my son enjoyed a lot. Without a doubt, it was one of the best days of this week.
His teacher sent me some photos, which I edited with her permission, here you see my son and my niece in the different activities.
Without a doubt, no matter how much it costs, preparing children in the morning, or all the sacrifices we must make to pay for everything he needs. Every day, every learning in school, is worth and deserves all the effort.

Preescolar es una etapa maravillosa, juegos, canciones, diversión, muchas actividades con propósito que le encantan a los niños. A mi hijo, le encantan los cuentos y esta siempre es una actividad que disfruta mucho. También cantar y bailar.
Esta semana, hubo un día especial, el día en que los niños llevaron su juguete favorito al salón y pasaron todo el día jugando en la cancha, con sus juguetes, compartiendo con los otros niños.
Angel y mi sobrina Camila, llevaron su monopatín y la pasaron increíble, además ese día le dieron un arroz con pollo en el almuerzo que mi niño disfruto mucho. Sin duda, fue uno de los mejores días de esta semana.
Su profesora me envió algunas fotos, las cuales edité con el permiso de ella, aquí ven a mi hijo y mi sobrina en las distintas actividades.
Sin lugar a duda, no importa cuanto cueste, preparar a los niños en la mañana, o todos los sacrificios que debemos hacer para costear todo lo que necesite. Cada día, cada aprendizaje en la escuela, vale y merece toda la pena.
