El día 14 mi sobrihijita Gaby tuvo su segunda presentación de Ballet y yo no podía perdérmela otra vez, ya que la vez pasada tristemente no pude asistir y me sentí bastante mal al respecto, esta vez con tiempo apartamos las entradas para que fuéramos mi mamá y yo en conjunto con su mamá y su papá.
Yo no les puedo explicar lo orgullosa que esa niña me hizo sentir, ella no lleva mucho tiempo en ballet, apenas empezó este año las prácticas, pero ya la colocaron en un grupo de niñas más grandes que ella y es que Gaby siempre ha sido más madura para su edad.
On the 14th, my little niece Gaby had her second ballet performance and I could not miss it again, since last time sadly I could not attend and I felt pretty bad about it, this time with time we set aside the tickets so that my mom and I could go together with her mom and dad.
I can't tell you how proud that little girl made me feel, she hasn't been in ballet for long, she just started practicing this year, but she was placed in a group of girls older than her and Gaby has always been more mature for her age.
Gaby estudia tercer grado, cuando llegó a primer grado y le hicieron sus pruebas le dijeron que ella debía ser adelantada de grado porque tenía muchos conocimientos para su edad, y así ha sido todo con Gaby es más inteligente que todos en la familia 🤭🤭 lo digo sin lugar a dudas y esta presentación de ballet me lo demostró una vez más.
Yo estaba más asustada que ella por esa presentación, no quería que su mamá la estresara antes de entrar al auditorio porque así soy yo, a mi sí que me estresa presentarme ante un público de esa magnitud, pero ella estaba increíblemente tranquila, era como si estuviera acostumbrada a ese estilo de vida toda su vida.
Gaby studies third grade, when she reached first grade and they did her tests they told her that she should be advanced in grade because she had a lot of knowledge for her age, and that's how it has been with Gaby, she is smarter than everyone in the family 🤭🤭 I say it without a doubt and this ballet presentation proved it to me once again.
I was more scared than her for that presentation, I didn't want her mom to stress her out before entering the auditorium because that's me, I do get stressed out performing in front of an audience of that magnitude, but she was incredibly calm, it was as if she was used to that lifestyle all her life.
En estos días vino a la casa y me demostró nuevas poses de ballet que había aprendido, y ustedes tienen que ver la flexibilidad que tiene, yo no sé mucho de poses y movimientos de ballet, pero sí sé que ella ya sabe movimientos que niñas más grandes ya dominan y tienen más tiempo practicando la actividad ¿cómo los aprende? No lo sé amigos, pero lo hace 🙃.
Ese día cuando la veía enseñarme los pasos en mi habitación y ver como lo hacía con tanta delicadeza y facilidad le dije "Gaby ¿te imaginas que te conviertas en una bailarina de ballet profesional?" Y ¿saben que me dijo? "¡pues, obvio tía, eso es lo que voy a hacer!" yo me quedé estupefacta con la firmeza con la que esa niña me dijo eso 😅.
These days she came to the house and showed me new ballet poses she had learned, and you have to see the flexibility she has, I don't know much about ballet poses and movements, but I do know that she already knows movements that older girls already master and have more time practicing the activity how does she learn them? I don't know friends, but she does 🙃.
That day when I was watching her teaching me the steps in my room and seeing how she did it with such delicacy and ease I said to her "Gaby can you imagine becoming a professional ballet dancer?" and you know what she said to me "well, of course aunt, that's what I'm going to do!" I was stunned with the firmness with which that little girl told me that 😅.
La misma seguridad y madurez con la que me ha dicho otra cantidad infinita de cosas que ha logrado ya, como tener calificaciones excelentes, vencer poco a poco su miedo escénico, las preocupaciones por su peso, porque decía que la hacían sentir mal al decirle siempre que estaba muy delgada en comparación a sus amiguitas, y cosas así.
Nunca dejaré de sorprenderme de lo rápido que aprende Gaby y de lo mucho que lo hace aun sin que nadie le enseñe nada. No saben cuánto eso me hace de feliz porque desde que era pequeña, viendo siempre el apego exagerado que tenía con su mamá, me preocupaba que creciera como una niña con muchas inseguridades y que desarrollará algún tipo de enfermedades emocionales en la medida de que fuera creciendo.
The same confidence and maturity with which she has told me an infinite amount of other things she has already achieved, like getting excellent grades, overcoming little by little her stage fright, her worries about her weight, because she said they made her feel bad by always telling her that she was too thin compared to her friends, and things like that.
I will never cease to be amazed at how fast Gaby learns and how much she does even without anyone teaching her anything. You don't know how happy that makes me because ever since she was little, seeing the exaggerated attachment she had with her mom, I was worried that she would grow up as a little girl with many insecurities and that she would develop some kind of emotional illnesses as she grew up.
Pero así como la vida me ha enseñado con muchos pacientes y amigos, con mis sobrinos ha sido igual, mis miedos siempre han sido infundados, ellos siempre han podido más, por supuesto aún están en formación y pueden aún desarrollar algún tipo de estas enfermedades, pero por ahora todo marcha bien y me repito constantemente "Dalla olvida eso, no puedes controlar eso" pero es difícil amigos, es difícil cuando ves que tus sobrinitos pasan por momentos difíciles familiares y sabes tanto de salud mental 😥.
Volviendo al punto se la presentación de Gaby de ballet, estuve muy emocionada de poder acudir a esta que se titulaba "Los Fantasmas de Scrooge" pensé que era una presentación de ballet pequeña con todas las bailarinas del tamaño de mi sobrinita, pero ¡No amigos!
Era toda una obra gigante con muchísimas bailarinas de todas las edades y actores en escena que hicieron un show el cual duró más de 1 hora y fue completamente ¡hermoso! Jamás pensé que presentarían algo tan bonito, tan bien organizado y complejo.

Back to the point of Gaby's ballet performance, I was so excited to be able to go to this one entitled "Scrooge's Ghosts" I thought it was a small ballet performance with all the dancers the size of my little niece, but no friends!
It was a whole gigantic work with many dancers of all ages and actors on stage who put on a show that lasted over 1 hour and was absolutely beautiful! I never thought they would present something so beautiful, so well organized and complex.
Resulta que es una reunión de 3 grupos de Ballet del Estado Nueva Esparta que se unen cada año para presentar esta obra al final del año, así como otras durante el año, por supuesto la de Navidad es una de las más bonitas y elaboradas y siempre es diferente cada año.
Gaby pertenece a un grupo entre las niñas más pequeñas, pero no es porque sea mi sobrina y esté hablando de ella, se los juro que fue la mejor que lo hizo de todo su grupo y es que la delicadeza de las poses, de los gestos, de los pasos y de los movimientos se nota a leguas, es como si esa niña hubiera nacido para ser bailarina ¡se los juro que así fue! 🥰.

Gaby belongs to a group among the youngest girls, but it is not because she is my niece and I am talking about her, I swear she was the best that did it of all her group and it is that the delicacy of the poses, gestures, steps and movements is noticeable to leagues, it is as if that girl was born to be a dancer I swear it was so! 🥰.
Además, se veía hermosa con su tutú blanco, su body, sus medias, su peinado, todo muy delicado y ¡hermoso! Yo estaba enamorada literalmente 😍. Recuerdo la primera vez que le trajeron ese traje y se lo probó aquí, pensé que le quedaría pequeño al poco tiempo, pero ¡para nada! Le sigue quedando ¡perfecto! Ese día después de ponérselo por primera vez sus ojos se iluminaron de felicidad como si hubiera recibido la Barbie más bella del mundo y estuvo como 2 horas bailando en mi habitación y gritando de felicidad 🤭.
Seré honesta, cuando mi hermana me dijo que la inscribiría en Ballet ¡no me gustó! soy sobreprotectora con mis sobrinos, lo acepto, ya se los he dicho y las historias que he conocido sobre la dismorfia corporal que se desarrollan en ese tipo de arte eran muchas, por lo que yo tenía mucho miedo por su salud mental, porque mi sobrinita ya demostraba sentirse mal por los comentarios que escuchaba en el colegio sobre su delgadez.
Plus, she looked beautiful in her white tutu, bodysuit, stockings, hairstyle, all very delicate and beautiful! I was literally in love 😍. I remember the first time they brought her that outfit and she tried it on here, I thought she would outgrow it soon after, but not at all! It still fits him perfectly! That day after she put it on for the first time her eyes lit up with happiness as if she had received the most beautiful Barbie in the world and she was like 2 hours dancing in my room and screaming with happiness 🤭.
I'll be honest, when my sister told me she would enroll her in Ballet I didn't like it! I'm overprotective with my nieces and nephews, I accept it, I've already told them and the stories I've known about body dysmorphia that develop in that kind of art were many, so I was very afraid for her mental health, because my little niece was already showing to feel bad about the comments she heard at school about her thinness.
Jamás en el pasado imaginé ver lo que Gaby lograría gracias al Ballet, mi hermana la inscribió para que se hiciera más independiente, más sociable, tuviera actividades extra académicas donde pudiera mantenerse ocupada en las tardes y no se aburriera en casa y pasara todo el día viendo videos en internet.
Pero lo que le ha brindado el Ballet a ella a mí me tiene ¡completamente sorprendida! Gaby se ha convertido en una niña mucho más independientemente, realiza sus presentaciones en el colegio (como exposiciones donde al principio lloraba) y las hace con más soltura y menos miedo, tiene muchas más amiguitas, tiene una súper elasticidad articular que no tienen las otras niñas de su edad y sus pasos se ven mucho más delicados y elaborados que sus compañeritas.
Never in the past did I imagine to see what Gaby would achieve thanks to Ballet, my sister enrolled her so that she would become more independent, more sociable, have extra academic activities where she could keep busy in the evenings and not get bored at home and spend all day watching videos on the internet.
But what Ballet has given her has completely surprised me! Gaby has become a much more independent child, she does her presentations at school (like exhibitions where at first she cried) and she does them with more ease and less fear, she has many more friends, she has a super elasticity of articulation that other girls her age don't have and her steps look much more delicate and elaborate than her classmates.
Pero no solo eso, Gaby ha ganado peso, cosa que me preocupaba porque era muy delgadita desde pequeña y era una lucha que quisiera comer además de su problema renal desde pequeña, pero el ballet la ha ayudado y practicar en su casa más bien ha hecho que tenga más necesidad de comer y ha desarrollado más masa muscular.
Hace poco la llevaron al Pediatra para su control, ha ganado 5 kilos y está mucho más alta, su problema renal ya está casi controlándose, va todo bien con eso. Todos mis miedos eran como siempre exagerados y una vez más mis sobrinitos me demostraron que me preocupo excesivamente por ellos y que todo va a estar bien 🥰.
But not only that, Gaby has gained weight, something that worried me because she was very thin since she was little and it was a struggle for her to want to eat in addition to her kidney problem since she was little, but ballet has helped her and practicing at home has made her have more need to eat and she has developed more muscle mass.
She was recently taken to the Pediatrician for her check up, she has gained 10 pounds and is much taller, her kidney problem is almost under control, everything is going well with that. All my fears were as always exaggerated and once again my little nephews showed me that I care excessively about them and that everything is going to be fine 🥰.
La presentación fue hermosa, estuvo unos pocos minutos en escena porque son 3 academias de danza y muchas niñas y adolescentes en toda la presentación, pero esos pocos minutos casi lloro al verla actuar ¡qué bonita mi muñequita! 🥰, Gaby es mi única sobrina niña ¡es mi adoración! de todos mis sobrinos es la que más me enseña cosas, es como una mini adulta y verla ahí me hizo sentir que si Gaby vence su miedo escénico ¿por qué yo no? Jajaja ¿increíble cierto? Mis sobrinos me siguen enseñando más cosas que yo a ellos jaja, pero no me quejo 🤭.
Les dejo fotos a lo largo del post de su presentación y fotos que le tomé antes del acto porque llegamos tarde y bueno …no pude tomarle fotos al llegar 😥, véanla que hermosa con su tutú y que feliz se veía después de presentarse. Siempre lo he dicho, pero lo repetiré, me encanta dejar estos post aquí en mi blog, quiero que en un futuro cuando mis sobrinitos sean grandes puedan revisarlos y ver cuánto los quise siempre y me alegraba por cada pequeño paso que daban, jamás tendré como agradecerles a mis hermanos por haberme dado el regalo más bonito de la vida, mis sobrihijitos 🥰.
The presentation was beautiful, she was only a few minutes on stage because there are 3 dance academies and many girls and teenagers in the whole presentation, but those few minutes I almost cried when I saw her perform, how beautiful my little doll! 🥰, Gaby is my only niece, she is my adoration! of all my nieces and nephews she is the one who teaches me the most things, she is like a mini adult and seeing her there made me feel that if Gaby overcomes her stage fright why not me? Hahaha, unbelievable right? My nephews keep teaching me more things than I teach them haha, but I'm not complaining 🤭.
