Once again we attended therapy to stimulate Alma's cognitive and motor development. On this occasion, and for the first time, the specialist Paola took the child to the classroom so that she could do the activities without her parents present, in order to observe her performance without dependence. Once the session was over, Paola met with me and explained the activities they did, and also sent me the photographs.
One of the activities was to place pictures of different colors in their corresponding pair, Alma identified the colors correctly. The teacher noted that she was very focused and paid attention at every opportunity. Another progress is that she identifies and names some colors, although we need to work a little more on her pronunciation.
Afterwards, they showed her some fruit figures and she had to glue them where they belonged. The little girl did very well, as she also knows many fruits. The only negative was that the material was in black and white, which increased the degree of difficulty, but she still achieved the objective.
She also learned to join dots to form lines, although she makes small lines, she lacks consistency to fix the strokes. At her age, she already knows how to hold a pencil and place it between her fingers to draw, but she still does not get out of her scribbles.
Another exercise she did was to locate missing shapes in a basket, using geometric shapes facilitated the task because the child already identifies the most basic ones. Then, the teacher gave her a paintbrush and paint, Alma did very well the process of taking the brush to the container, loading it with paint and spreading it on the sheet. The last exercise was to follow the rain line of a cloud, a task she completed using pieces of colored yarn.
The teacher told us that via WhatsApp she will send some exercises to continue the child's development over the vacation period. Overall, she was pleased with her performance.

Nuevamente asistimos a la terapia para estimular el desarrollo cognitivo y motriz de Alma. En esta ocasión, y por vez primera, la especialista Paola se llevó a la niña al salón para que ella realizara las actividades sin la presencia de sus padres, para de esta manera observar su desempeño sin dependencia. Una vez finalizada la sesión, Paola se reunió conmigo y me explicó las actividades que hicieron, también me envió las fotografías.
Una de las actividades fue colocar cuadros de diferentes colores en su par correspondiente, Alma identificó los colores de forma correcta. La maestra señaló que estaba muy concentrada y prestó atención en cada oportunidad. Otro avance es que identifica y nombra algunos colores, aunque hay que trabajar un poco más en su pronunciación.
Posteriormente, le mostraron algunas figuras de frutas y ella debía pegarla donde correspondía. La pequeña se desempeñó muy bien, pues también conoce muchas frutas. Lo único negativo fue que el material estaba en blanco y negro, lo que elevó el grado de dificultad, pero de igual manera logró el objetivo.
Además aprendió a unir puntos para formar líneas, aunque ella hace pequeñas rayas, le falta consistencia para fijar los trazos. A su edad ya sabe agarrar un lápiz y colocarlo entre sus dedos para trazar, pero aún no sale de sus garabatos.
Otro ejercicio que realizó fue ubicar figuras faltantes en una canasta, el utilizar formas geométricas facilitó la tarea porque la niña ya identifica las más básicas. Luego, la maestra le dio un pincel y pintura, Alma hizo muy bien el proceso de llevar el pincel hasta el envase, cargarlo de pintura y extenderlo por la hoja. El último ejercicio fue seguir la línea de lluvia de una nube, tarea que completó utilizando pedazos de estambre de colores.
La maestra nos indicó que vía WhatsApp enviará algunos ejercicios para proseguir con el desarrollo de la niña en el período de vacaciones. En términos generales, estuvo conforme con su actuación.
