The Day of the Uneven Stockings - Down Syndrome -- El día de las Medias Disparejas - Sindrome de Down

Hello friends, I hope you are doing well on this day. This March 21 is a day dedicated to Down syndrome. In honor of this day the UN General Assembly, declares this day as a way to remember and raise awareness about all people who have the syndrome.

So a pedagogical way to make children aware of this condition that some people have is this representation of the uneven socks. For me the meaning goes in the function of the sock, is that children with Down syndrome are different people but at the same time they still have a function and a role in society, not because they are different we should ignore them or not integrate them into society.

Today there are many people who have the syndrome and have been able to have professional careers, trades and be artists. The difference lies in the conscience of the parents who later at an early age manage to involve them and integrate them in special schools, in the formation of values and in different trades.

Also as parents we have the obligation and the human feeling to make our children good people, respectful and above all human, who manage to understand that there are people who often have different disabilities, conditions and diseases. And this does not mean that we should isolate them, but on the contrary, it is to love and understand the other.

It seems easy, but today we must continue to do a lot for the integration of all children, the school although it has advanced a lot in these issues, there is still a long way to go and many laws must be enforced for the protection of all children living with some type of autism, limitations or syndromes. There is still a lot to talk about these issues, but it is important to rescue them in any scenario.

Hola que tal amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien en este día. Este 21 de marzo es un día dedicado al síndrome de Down. En honor a este día la Asamblea General de la ONU, declara este día como una forma de recordar y tomar conciencia sobre todas las personas que presentan el síndrome.

Así que una forma tambien pedagógica de hacer ver a los niños sobre esta condicion que tienen algunas personas es esta representación de las medias disparejas. Para mí el significado va en la función de la media, es que los niños de síndrome de Down son personas diferentes pero que a la vez siguen teniendo una funcion y un rol en la sociedad, no por ser diferentes debemos obviarlos o no integrarlos en la sociedad.

Hoy en día hay muchas personas que poseen el síndrome y han podido hacer carrera profesional, oficios y ser artistas. La diferencia radica en la conciencia de los padre que después a temprana edad logran involucrarlos e integrarlos en las escuelas especiales, en la formación de valores y en distintos oficios.

Además tambien como padres tenemos la obligación y el sentimiento humano de hacer de nuestros hijos personas de bien, respetuosas y sobre todas las cosas humanas, que logren comprender que hay personas que muchas veces tienen distintas discapacidades, condiciones y enfermedades. Y esto no significa que debemos aislarlas y sino lo contrario, es amar y comprender al otro.

Parece fácil, pero hoy en día se debe continuar haciendo mucho para la integración de todos los niños, la escuela a pesar de que ha avanzado mucho en estos temas, aun se debe recorrer mucho camino y poner a valer muchas leyes para el resguardo de todos los niños que viven con algún tipo de autismo, limitaciones o síndromes. Aun falta mucho que hablar sobre estos temas, pero es importante rescatarlos en cualquier escenario.
