Hello, warm greetings to you all! If you haven’t read Part 1 yet, you can check it out through this link.
On September 25, 2024, our second son, Rei Aiden, was born. He weighed only 2.7 kilograms—a small and thin little boy, yet his presence immediately filled our hearts with so much love.
Compared to our firstborn, Ryzen, Aiden came into the world much faster. Just about an hour after my wife’s water broke, he was already in our arms. Quick but unforgettable.
Aiden was not something we planned or even prayed for at the time. He came as a complete surprise, an unexpected blessing that brought with it a mix of excitement and worry.
Our first child was still very young, and the thought of raising two babies so close in age felt overwhelming. But God knew what He was doing—because Aiden completed a part of our hearts we didn’t even know was missing.
Now at 9 months old, Aiden is known for one very charming trait: he smiles at everyone. Strangers, visitors, family—he beams at them all. Because of this, people often stop to talk to him. My wife and I sometimes joke that we feel like celebrities because of how much attention he attracts! He’s not just chubby and cute, but his joyful nature makes him so lovable.
Raising Aiden, however, has been more challenging. He has very sensitive skin, reacting strongly even to small insect bites. We've consulted pediatricians, changed his soap, and tried cetirizine—some helped slightly, but not completely. We’re just hoping his body builds stronger resistance as he grows older.
Despite all this, he’s thriving. At his last checkup, he already weighed 10 kilos—definitely not a tiny baby anymore! He’s also fully breastfed, which has helped us save money. We tried bottle feeding, but he refused, so we didn’t push it.
Having a second child isn’t easy—we’re not wealthy, and we don’t have a nanny or helper. My wife and I are completely hands-on parents.
Thankfully, I work from home, so I get to help, play with the kids, and support my wife. Every second I spend with them is something I treasure.
Watching my wife @mayt care for our sons makes me admire all mothers even more. I see with my own eyes how much effort, strength, and love it takes to raise children.
As one saying goes, “Children are a gift and a miracle from God.” Rei Aiden is proof of that.
