Hello again, dear friends in the Kindness Community! šµļø
I am truly grateful to be here once more to share yet another experience of mine with you all. The response to my first post moved me more than words can express. I really felt the warmth from @gregscloud, @sam.hangout, @hive-166030, @funshee, and so many other amazing Hivers who welcomed me with their votes of open arms. (Please, just so you know, these names are not in any particular orderābut each one left an imprint on my heart.)
Your kind words and encouragement inspired me deeply. In a world that often feels heavy with unkindness and negativity, your love reminded me that kindness is definitely aliveāspreading, and celebrating. It's also taught me to move past the noise of cruelty and focus on building:
Something beautiful,
Something soft,
Something kind.
Today, I want to share another experience with youāa story that reminded me that sometimes, kindness comes when we least expect itābut when we need it the most.
It was one of those days when everything just felt... heavyš©
I had left the house late, skipped breakfast, and was emotionally drained from the night before. I wasn't even sure how I was going to make it through the day. On top of it all, I realizedājust moments after boarding the busāthat I had misplaced my small purse. My transportation fare was in it, along with my money and everything else.
Panic hit first, followed by embarrassment. I sat there, totally confused and unsure whether to ask to get off the bus or plead with the driver. A few passengers behind me shifted impatiently. Just as I opened my mouth to say something, a voice behind me, who had noticed my confusion, suddenly said gently:
"Don't worry. I'll cover it."
I turned to see the person who rescued me from this huge embarrassment, and I saw a calm looking woman with kind eyes; a woman I didn't know, smiling at me as if she had known me for years. Her smile was so contagious that I could not help but reciprocate. There was nothing dramatic in the way she offered to helpā no sense of pity, just calm and quiet kindness.
Then suddenly, a passenger dropped off at a particular bus stop, so I decided to move to where she was sitting. I tried to refuseātried to explainābut she waved it off like it was nothing. She eventually paid for me and said, "We all forget things sometimes. Just breathe. It's okay." she smiled with kind eyes.
As I sat beside her, for the next ten minutes, we talked like old friends. She didn't ask much about my situation; she just allowedthe conversation to flow naturally. She told me stories about her garden, her cat, and the rain. Her presence was grounding. Her energy was peaceful.
Before I got off the bus, I asked her name. She only smiled and said kindly and politely, "Just pass it on, okay?"
I've never seen her again.
That moment, that single act of kindness, has never left my heart. She didn't just pay my fareāshe paid attention, and that's something many of us rarely get these days.
Her gesture reminded me that kindness doesn't have to be loud to be life-changing. It just needs a heart willing to see others and say, "I've got you."
Since that day, I've kept my eyes and heart open. I've looked for moment to pay it forwards. Sometimes, its helping someone with their shopping. Sometimes, it's giving
a simple and sincere compliment. Other times, it's just listening. Because that's what she gave me that dayāpresence.
Thank you once again, @kindness community, for giving me space to share my experience. Your warmth continues to inspire me to constantly choose kindness in every small way I can. I'll keep learning, giving, and growingāwith all of you.
Stay kind, stay soft, and stay beautifully human.
Keep sharing the love and kindness.
See you soon.
Warmly,
@happy080
