Here are a few finds from this past week for #musrhoommonday
This first sighting is Trichaptum biforme. Very cool looking purple color.
The common name is purple toothed polypore.
It is easy to mistake as turkeytail but the purple gives its identity away as well as the longer teeth underneath. Sadly it is not medicinal like turkeytail.
Here is what I though was Pluteus cervinus aka deer shield mushroom.
But when I looked at the gills they were dark brown. Most deer shield mushrooms have white or light tan gills not dark brown ones like this. So it remains a mystery to me for now.
Here are some sad looking dried out ink caps. It rained here then got really hot.
My phone camera got a bit hazy in the heat and humidity for this shot of beech rooter gills.
This is how the beech rooters look after cooking in the sun a bit. The often form goblet shapes that catch rain water.
Hey why are you looking at my mushrooms! Squeeek Squeeek!!! Chipmunk says to go back inside it is too hot.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
