{That's me during my engineering internship after plugging an oil leak}
You should feel discontent if you have never really hit the walls once in your life. Well, you might not bother trying to fail intentionally because eventually we will all fail trying different things. Failing at something comes with a perspective that can't really be learnt when you always succeed. I am not implying catastrophic failures that could cost you an arm or a leg but those you could recover from and possibly repeat.
The fearful,foolish,fellow,friend,foe ,fast and furious will all fail( such is life). Often failure leaves a negative mark but it is the individual's duty to use the negative mark for positive progress.
Failure Reminds us of our Frailty as Humans
Being often successful is sweet but not exactly the ideal way to learn the ideal thing. Failure teaches you the hard truth about life. When you fail at Something you should remind yourself that you can't possibly have everything at every time in life. At least recall that you're good looking( if you really are) or you can bring up your strengths to the focus .
Understand that we can't all suck at the same thing or succeed at everything.
For some individuals its sports ,some its their relationship, some its in their business while many suck at school work.
For instance an intelligent guy who excels in academics could suck at sports, a good table tennis player may not necessarily be a good jumper and being able to cook well doesn't mean that you can paint well.
Failure reminds you that you are human after all and he who hasn't come to terms with this mindset is being delusional. No matter how gifted you are, you will suck at Something. The set of strengths and vulnerabilities peculiar to each individual are the individual's unique human signature.
I'm particularly skilled in writing stories but failed several times when featured in plays. It's just my peculiarity which doesn't imply that I'm inferior to others as I always remind myself that I am still the same writer and that I can do other things like play football too and and run really fast.
Failure makes you have genuine value for success
Don't be surprised when you hear the children of the rich living extravagant lives. They have no knowledge of the cost of the wealth.
Such kind of children can replace an entire car because the seat got scratched by a dog. The money which was acquired by their parents means nothing to them other than for the purchase of pleasure.
The story of victory
is sweetest when it includes the bitter tale of defeat.
I used to brag to people how I sat for the senior secondary school certificate examination in Nigeria at four different times before passing it and three of the attempts were failures. I live in a country where people pass exams illegally, hence I find it really interesting to speak up boldly about my failures in school. I got the success at a price and I have got scars to show for it.
To be honest, my focus was superior than many other students when I was in college because I knew how I got there and it wasn't through the back door. Hence I didn't have the luxury of time for frivolities.
My message to the reader is to never be ashamed of your failure story. Your life is like a book that you need to finish with the victory in the end. The process is both bitter and sweet that the product may be genuine.
Keep pushing
