Hi Hive Lovers
"Life is a change and the only thing that lasts is a change itself.
If you don't dare to change, then the times will crush you"

This grasshopper skin and cocoon house is something we see very often. My 5-year-old son brought them both from the garden next to my house and he showed it to me by asking the question “Why aren't they in it anymore, what monster has sucked them in?”
At first, I was confused about what answer to give my child who was full of curiosity. I don't want to disappoint him. Then, I opened the video of the process of metamorphosis of grasshoppers and butterflies from youtube, they provide anything, right?
After we watched it to the end. He became aware of what happened to the skin of the grasshopper and this cocoon house. But he still asked, "Why did they do that?".
This is his real question, I thought hard again. What answer should I give? This is a very important thing, it concerns the principle of our life as human beings. For a 5-year-old child, my explanation is about the capital to live his life when he grows up.
Comfort zone
The comfort zone gives a person certainty and a sense of security when carrying out an activity or habit. You don't have to worry about something or feel bothered by something that weighs on your position and existence.
Humans are often in a comfort zone that makes them feel easy to do something and are afraid to get out of that zone because they are worried about the changes that will happen to them. This fear makes a person unable to develop and achieve something better than what he has done so far. Someone who is in a comfort zone will feel free from anxiety and stress and feel able to maintain performance so that it remains stable.
It is like a child who is afraid to learn to ride a bicycle, he is comfortable walking and running on his two feet. If he tries to ride a bicycle, he is afraid of falling, getting hurt, or getting injured. Or like you who have grown up, afraid to accept new challenges, for fear of not being able to do well and afraid of failure.
Why should you step out of your comfort zone?
If you don't dare to change your capacity and shape as the grasshopper or butterfly did, the quality of your abilities and performance will remain stable and just like that. You will remain a small grasshopper unable to jump and fly any further or you will remain a caterpillar in a cocoon that will not change and fly to and fro to show off its beautiful wings.
How about after you dare to step out of your comfort zone?
Absolutely true, you must be an expert in a field that you are good at. However, the demands of the times require you to improve your abilities or increase your mastery of other fields that you must have.
I have 5 views regarding what you will have once you get out of your comfort zone, here are the views:
- By boldly stepping out of your comfort zone, you can know your limits and abilities. When you are in a new environment or atmosphere, you will be challenged to increase your capacity. It is your chance to get to know yourself better, to know your strengths and weaknesses so far. The comfort zone is the prison that has imprisoned your best potential.
- Boldly step out of your comfort zone; Your thoughts and insights will increase. You will realize, it turns out that you are still a little master and it will pump your enthusiasm to learn and learn more. At the same time, you can be grateful for what you have achieved so far and it will also make it easier for you to share with others.
- Boldly step out of your comfort zone; You will easily adapt and strengthen your personality in the face of a new problem or situation that makes you uncomfortable. You will become a more resilient person in dealing with all situations in your life.
- Boldly step out of your comfort zone; You will become a person who is more considered by others and it will increase your selling power. Anyone will respect your personality who is ready to face a bad situation. You will be respected and appreciated as a person who is resilient and never gives up on facing any situation or challenge.

The grasshopper came out of his old skin to get bigger and stronger (he stepped out of his size comfort zone). The caterpillar comes out of its cocoon to become a beautiful butterfly and can fly freely (it goes out of its comfort zone). Grasshoppers and butterflies have stepped out of their comfort zones and my little boy has come to understand what he has found in the garden next to his house.
