Everyone has their own preferences with everything. To me, something could have a xyz logic while someone else might come with an abc logic. From our both's perspective, we might be right, the problem is when we are trying to impose our logic on the other person to act. That's where the conflicts arise mostly.
If you have read my yesterday's post about me who started walking regularly. This doesn’t mean I will walk to everywhere, even when the time is more valuable than the money or something else. The person on the opposite side was someone who is a student of psychology. So the discussion started like below,
Me: In Dhaka, time is equivalent to money. Due to the immense traffic jam, it takes more than an hour to cover a distance of 4km via a local bus that costs 0.10 usd. While on Pathao/Uber, it takes 1.50 usd via a bike that takes me to my destination within twenty minutes. So the money is saving a huge time for me.
My friend: Walk! Walk to your office. What did you while sitting on the bus? Better to walk, wont take that much time. Helps your body as well. What's the benefit of earning millions if you end up spending on treatment at later age?
He got point, regular walking, will boost my health for sure, but the mentioned one us beyond my league. Come on! Walking 4km to my office in the morning would make me super tired, also the willpower that needs to do that is absent in my case. Already, I get done for after sitting on my desk for 8 hours. To tacklr the health aspect, the yesterday's habit is on the table right now, to walk deliberately, on a limited range to get comfortable. Well, today I did noticed a corner where different types of gym gears were available for exercises. All were to practice the lower body exercises. Noticed people from all age and gender. So that's an added benefit on my habit if I stay consistence.
That friend of mine, to him, money is the first priority, on how he can save money and better utilise it. On most cases, he goes on extreme mode to save money and those are the reflections of advising me to walk for 4km to reach my office in the morning, lol. I'm not a “savings guy” because I do place cmfort first in such cases. Not ready to compromise my prioritise, as its about health in the long-term, I got some short plans to getting started for long term goals. Rest is up to the Almighty on what he has kept for us.
So yeah, a tiny soarkle did lit a long conversation between us, I just portrayed a glimse. To him, he is more logical and he is obeying these in his life and thus I am, obeying what aligns with my ethics and I find logical for sure.
Thank you for reading ,
Have a great day,
