El otro día, hablando con mi amigo @promete0sz , me recomendó ver una película llamada "Una noche con el diablo" cuya premisa era la siguiente: Un conductor de programa famoso de los años ´70, en un especial de Halloween, invita a una amiga dedicada a la parapsicología para que hable sobre sus experiencias paranormales. Lo que no sabía, era que el diablo sería el protagonista aquella noche.
Del género sobrenatural y posesiones, recordé que este último no es de mis favoritos. Las películas de posesiones demoniacas nunca me gustaron sinceramente pero ya que mi querido amigo insistió, le dí una oportunidad y la verdad, no me arrepiento.
The other day, talking to my friend @promete0sz, he recommended that I watch a movie called "A Night with the Devil" whose premise was the following: A famous show host from the 70s, in a Halloween special, invites a friend dedicated to parapsychology to talk about her paranormal experiences. What I didn't know was that the devil would be the protagonist that night.
From the supernatural and possessions genre, I remembered that the latter is not one of my favorites. I honestly never liked demonic possession movies but since my dear friend insisted, I gave it a chance and honestly, I don't regret it.

Lo primero que noté fue, que es totalmente original. Un diablo yendo a un programa de televisión ¿A quién se le ocurriría no? Esto podría considerarse como una sátira a la voracidad de un publico insatisfecho con el contenido de ocio que consume y con un hambre voraz de audiencia por parte de los productores de programas de entretenimiento haciendo cualquier cosa con tal de obtener 2 puntos de Rating convirtiendo así, un sitio de supuesta alegría en uno donde sus trabajadores podrían considerarlo el mismo infierno.
La estética de los setenta está muy bien lograda. Logró generar ese sentimiento de nostalgia por los programas de antaño. No es de las películas mas terroríficas pero la trama esta muy bien llevada en su suspenso. No es grotesca pero su sutileza hace que la imaginación vuele imaginando los escenarios mas horribles. La escena del vidente es un ejemplo claro de esto que menciono. No vimos nada pero, lo que nos dieron a imaginar fue suficiente para causarme escozor.

This could be considered a satire on the voracity of a public dissatisfied with the leisure content it consumes and with a voracious hunger for an audience on the part of the producers of entertainment programs doing anything to obtain 2 Rating points, thus turning a site of supposed joy into one where its workers could consider it hell itself.
The seventies aesthetic is very well done. It managed to generate that feeling of nostalgia for the programs of yesteryear. It is not one of the most terrifying films but the plot is very well carried out in its suspense. It is not grotesque but its subtlety makes the imagination fly imagining the most horrible scenarios. The scene with the psychic is a clear example of what I mention. We didn't see anything but what they gave us to imagine was enough to make me sting.
Otro punto que me llamó mucho la atención fue el hecho de estar basado en la historia de una secta real: Bohemian Grove donde se dice, los hombres mas ricos se reúnen en este campamento ubicado en California, Estados Unidos. Esta tiene como símbolo un búho (Que raro @elbuhito metiendo las plumas) y alrededor de ella, hay muchas teorías conspirativas de que es satánica. En fin, me encantó que enlazaran este caso real con la ficción haciendo mas aterradora la cuestión. No es casualidad que tambien, el logo del programa de la película sea un búho lo cual, representa dicha secta.
Another point that caught my attention was the fact that it was based on the story of a real sect: Bohemian Grove where it is said, the richest men meet in this camp located in California, United States. This one has an owl as its symbol (How strange @elbuhito putting in the feathers) and around it, there are many conspiracy theories that it is satanic. Anyway, I loved that they linked this real case with fiction, making the issue more terrifying. It is no coincidence that the logo of the film program is also an owl, which represents said sect.

La verdad, es una propuesta muy original a lo que venimos viendo sobre posesiones que, ya sabemos, que es dificil hacer algo que no exista en este mundo de demonios y lo lograron.
Esta muy buena la verdad. Combina un humor un poco acido con el terror de manera espectacular. La recomiendo totalmente. Le doy 10 de 10 ¡Saludos!
