Today, Sunday, August 28, 2022, the second chapter of the House of the Dragon (Hotd), prequel to the series The Game of Thrones (Got) of the HBO television network and that was a success since its first chapter in the year April 17, 2011 until its last chapter on May 19, 2019, premieres.
So, last Sunday at 9:00 pm Venezuela time, I was next to my husband, with HBO Max tuned in and my eyes fixed on the TV, waiting for the premiere of this new series. I was a little excited because I followed the first series from the beginning to the end; so obviously as a good fan I was anxious and waiting.

I remember that when I started watching Got I was a bit distant from television and I only watched movies from time to time, because the series did not fully capture my attention even (do not hate me please) I stopped watching Braking Bad in season 3, because the plot no longer seemed to me catchy.
However, when I found Got, I found a television gem that seemed to me unique in its style, heroic fantasy, since everywhere we saw this kind of genre, we could observe mostly elves, fairies, etc. But suddenly came HBO by the hand of George R. R. Martin, revolutionizing the world of television series as well as the world of fantasy books.
Then you should know that "Song of Ice and Fire" is a novelistic saga of 7 books, written by Martin where he gives us an epic world of medieval fantasy full of battles, wars, love, intrigues; besides Martin can say many things, but what can never be said is that he is a bad writer. Martin is simply a genius with what he writes, his stories are impeccable and relentless as well as being super catchy.
Therefore his works can be catalogued as perfection, according to my point of view. Also in his readings he leaves you clues so that the reader can draw their own theories, even makes you fall in love with a character and hate the fate that has touched him in the books, no doubt Martin plays with your feelings and your psyche.
With the story almost ready, I say almost because it is known that the writer has not finished the saga, but that is another topic. HBO with the help of producers David Benioff and D. B. Weiss made the Got series based on this saga, which had 8 seasons and 73 chapters, where they would provide the viewer every Sunday, a great entertainment with high visual definition of the scenarios, where the most catching was the surprise effect of the plot.
SourceThis is where it lies that many people can catalog it as an overrated series, because many came to Got, due to its high fame, approximately by season 6 (the best season from my point of view). Then when they got to the end they had high expectations, but like many we were disappointed because we observed a very premature and forced ending.
Regardless of the ending, which to be honest I don't think is so bad, but it was not what I expected, because from my point of view it did not fit the plot of the series, as I noticed that it lost the essence it had from the beginning. Anyway, that was the end they gave it, for better or for worse, or for the happiness or pain of many fans; for now I can only wait for Mr. Martin to deign to finish the saga and see if the end of the books takes away the bittersweet taste that left me the last season and especially the end of the series.
If you have not seen Got, I recommend 100% that you see them, because for me it is an excellent series; and that at the end you open your mind and have a lot of understanding to be able to digest the final season. Now if you have already seen it, I want to ask you why do you think Weiss and Benioff are not part of the Dragon House team?

Now then, let's talk about the House of the Dragon. I'll admit right off the bat that I love Daenerys Targaryen. Therefore I loved that they made this prequel. So my expectations are as follows: I have mixed feelings, because as fans I am happy that they decided to make the series, but on the other hand I know that the series is a kind of fanservice since it is undoubtedly the success it can have, therefore I feel a little fear that despite the story is already finished, the series will take a different direction and lose its essence, as was the case with Got.
In spite of having 50/50 expectations, I have the hope that it can become an excellent series because firstly within its direction is Miguel Sapochnik, one of the best producers of Got and who was in charge of extraordinary chapters, as was the battle of the bastards and winter winds; being these to my taste one of the best chapters of the series.

In addition to this we know how the story begins and ends, so the disappointment of an unexpected ending seems unlikely, however in the world of entertainment and film nothing is written.

Hoy domingo 28 de agosto del 2022 se estrena el segundo capítulo de la Casa del Dragón (Hotd), precuela de la serie El Juego de Tronos (Got) de la cadena televisiva de HBO y que fue un éxito desde su primer capítulo en el año 17 de abril de 2011 hasta su último capítulo el 19 de mayo de 2019.
Entonces, el domingo pasado a las 9:00 pm hora Venezuela, me encontraba al lado de mi esposo, con HBO Max sintonizado y la mirada fija en el televisor, esperando el estreno de esta nueva serie. Me encontraba un poco emocionada porque seguí la primera serie desde el principio hasta el final; entonces obviamente como buena fans me encontraba ansiosa y la expectativa.
Fuentes:1,2,3Antes de hablarles de las expectativas que tengo con esta nueva serie, quiero hablarles de Got, y porque esta serie me regaló excelentes momentos de altos entretenimientos.
Recuerdo que cuando comencé a ver Got me encontraba un poco alejada de la televisión y solo me limitaba a ver películas de vez en cuando, porqué las series no captaban totalmente mi atención incluso (no me vayan a odiar por favor) dejé de ver a Braking Bad en la temporada 3, porque la trama ya no me parecía atrapante.
Sin embargo al encontrar a Got, encontré una joya televisiva y que me pareció única en su estilo, la fantasía heroica, ya que por todos lados donde veíamos esta clase de género, podríamos observar mayormente, elfos, hadas, etc. Pero de repente llego HBO de la mano de los escritos George R. R. Martin, revolucionando el mundo de las series televisas así como también el de los libros de fantasías.
Entonces deben saber que “Canción de hielo y fuego” es una saga novelística de 7 libros, escrita por Martin donde nos brinda un mundo épico de Fantasía medieval lleno de batallas, guerras, amor, intrigas; además de Martín se podrá decir muchas cosas, pero lo que jamás se podrá decir es que es un mal escritor. Simplemente Martin es un genio con lo que escribe, sus relatos son impecables e implacables además de ser súper atrapantes.
Por lo tanto sus obras pueden ser catalogadas como la perfección, según mi punto de vista. También en sus lecturas te va dejando pistas para que el lector pueda sacar sus propias teorías, incluso hace que te enamores de un personaje y odies el destino que le ha tocado en los libros, sin duda Martin juega con tus sentimientos y tu psique.
Con la historia casi lista, digo casi porque es sabido que el escritor, no ha terminado la saga, pero eso es otro tema. HBO de la mano de los productores David Benioff y D. B. Weiss realizaron la serie Got basada en esta saga, y que contó con 8 temporadas y 73 capítulos, donde le brindarían al espectador cada domingo, un gran entretenimiento con alta definición visual de los escenarios, donde lo más atrapante era el efecto sorpresa de la trama.
FuenteDe aquí es donde radica que muchas personas la puedan catalogar de serie sobrevalorada, porque muchos llegaron a Got, por su alta fama, aproximadamente por la temporada 6 (La mejor temporada desde mi punto de vista). Entonces al llegar al final tenían altas expectativas, pero como muchos nos llevamos una decepción ya que observamos un final bastante prematuro y muy forzado.
Independientemente del final que haya tenido, que para ser sincera no me parece tan mal, pero no era lo que esperaba, porque desde mi punto de vista no se acopló a la trama que traía la serie, ya que observé que perdió la esencia que traía desde el principio. Como sea, ese fue el final que le dieron, para mal o para bien, o para la felicidad o dolor de muchos fans; por lo pronto solo me queda esperar que el señor Martin se digne a terminar la saga y ver si el final de los libros me quita el sabor agridulce que me dejó la última temporada y en especial el final de la serie.
Si no has visto Got, te recomiendo 100% que las veas, porque para mí es una excelente serie; y que al final abras bastante tu mente y tengas mucho entendimiento para poder digerir la temporada final. Ahora si ya la vistes, quiero preguntarte ¿Por qué crees que Weiss y Benioff no forman parte del equipo de la Casa del Dragón?

Ahora bien, hablemos de la Casa del Dragón. Admito de una vez que amo a Daenerys Targaryen. Por lo tanto amé que hicieran esta precuela. Entonces mis expectativas son las siguientes: Tengo sentimientos encontrados, porque como fans me siento feliz de que hayan decidido hacer la serie, pero por otro lado sé que la serie es una especie de fans service ya que es indudable el éxito que puede tener, por lo tanto siento un pequeño temor de que a pesar de que la historia ya está terminada, la serie tome un rumbo distinto y pierda su esencia, como fue el caso de Got.
A pesar de tener unas expectativas 50/50, tengo la esperanza de que se puede convertir en una excelente serie porque primeramente dentro de su dirección está Miguel Sapochnik uno de los mejores productores de Got y que estuvo al mando de capítulos extraordinarios, como lo fue la batalla de los bastardos y vientos de invierno; siendo estos a mi gusto uno de los mejores capítulos de la serie.

Y sigo sumando que al observar el primer capítulo, sentí satisfacción, todo me encantó, actores, trama, música, efectos especiales, me sentí en el mundo de Got. Observé un primer capítulo bastante atrapante que no me dejaba quitar la mirada de la pantalla, con un poco de fans service, por supuesto que sí, aunque lo agradezco, sobre todo en aquellos casos donde apreciamos hablar el idioma nativo de la casa Targaryen y donde se hace referencia a la profecía de la familia. No continuaré hablando más del capítulo para no caer en spoilers.
